The BISCAST College of Engineering brings together emerging engineers as they present their research, defend their ideas, and engage in meaningful academic discourse in the College of Engineering Student Research Colloquium 2026, with the theme: “Bridging Theory and Practice: Advancing Student Engineering Research for Real-World Solutions.”
The event will commence with a webinar session in the morning, followed by the presentation and defense of selected thesis studies in the afternoon. From Mechanical to Electronics, Electrical, and Civil Engineering, selected research groups will showcase their studies in a formal academic setting designed to strengthen technical communication, refine research methodologies, and promote interdisciplinary collaboration. This colloquium serves as a platform for intellectual exchange, constructive evaluation, and the advancement of student-led research.

‎A remarkable moment of leaders unfolded as mechanical engineers from across the Bicol Region came together as one for a day of collaboration, learning, and celebration held last March 28, 2026 at CBD Plaza Hotel, Naga City. The conference shared commitment to advancing the field of mechanical engineering as it highlights the innovation and personal growth.

‎Guided by the theme "PSME Forward in Strengthening Mechanical Engineering Excellence and Leadership Across the Bicol Region," the event gave an insightful and inspiring technical discussions, as well as the formal induction of new officers as a testament to unity and excellence within the PSME Community.

‎The PSME BISCAST-SU conducted a quizzer tryout held on March 26, 2026 at MEng 102 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The event was filled with friendly competition and shared determination to get a spot in the ME Quizzer team.
‎
‎The activity was designed not only to challenge students but also to improve their abilities, mindset and also to develop their skills. From the 21 participants in 20-questions written in prelim round they move forward to oral round. By afternoon, the Top 4 emerged, earning the spot for Mechanical Engineering Quizzer for this semester and to the next.
‎
