💡 BLS–ACLS TIP OF THE DAY!

During CPR, avoid excessive ventilation. Giving too many breaths or ventilating too forcefully increases intrathoracic pressure, decreases venous return, and reduces cardiac output — which can lower the chances of survival.

Remember:
🫁 Provide 1 breath every 6 seconds with an advanced airway in place.
💨 Deliver each breath over 1 second, just enough to see chest rise.
⏱️ Minimize interruptions in chest compressions.

In resuscitation, more is not always better. Controlled, proper ventilation supports effective CPR.

During trauma care, always prioritize rapid trauma assessment with C-ABCDE approach — especially the “C” for Catastrophic Bleeding before airway management. Massive hemorrhage can kill within minutes, so control severe bleeding immediately using direct pressure, pressure dressings, or a tourniquet when indicated. 🩸

In BTMC, speed + system = survival.
