⚠️ DIABETES, NANATILING IKALIMANG SANHI NG PAGKAMATAY NG MGA PILIPINO

‼️Ayon sa pag-aaral ng Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA, 2024), ang diabetes ang ika-5 na pangunahing sanhi ng mortality sa Pilipinas. Ilan sa mga itinuturong dahilan nito ay ang madalas at labis na pagkain at pag-inom ng matatamis.

Ilan sa mga komplikasyon na maaaring idulot ng diabetes ay:
❤️ Atake sa puso at stroke
👁️ Pagkabulag o problema sa paningin
🦶 Pagkaputol ng paa o bahagi ng katawan (amputasyon)
🩺 Kidney failure

Basahin ang larawan para sa mga dapat gawin upang maiwasan ang diabetes.

Bantayan ang iyong blood sugar, kumunsulta sa inyong health center ngayon!

🔬 Blood pressure & glucose screening – Prevent complications

🌿 Lumabas sa 2024 Health Promotion Longitudinal Study na karamihan sa mga Pilipino ay mas gustong kunin sa sariling bakuran ang kanilang pagkain sa pamamagitan ng pagtatanim ng mga gulay 🥬 at pag-aalaga ng mga hayop 🐔 bilang parte ng kanilang pang araw-araw na hain.

Narito ang ilang paraan na isinusulong ng DOH para masimulan ang sariling bakuran 🏡.

Isip bahin ug pakigtambayayong sa PWD Federation ug sa MSWDO sa selebrasyon sa National Disability Rights Week, ang Nasipit Rural Health Unit and Family Planning Center nagpahigayon og Medical Consultation alang sa mga Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) niadtong Hulyo 22, 2025, Martes sa Municipal Gym, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte.

Gipangulohan kini sa atong DTTB OIC-Municipal Health Officer nga si Dr. Niño Llacuna. Ang maong kalihokan nagtumong sa pag-atiman sa panginahanglanon sa panglawas ug pagpalambo sa kahimsog sa mga PWDs.

Gipahigayon usab ang PhilHealth Profiling ug Konsulta Registration, ug sa paghatag og tambal ug vitamins sa mga partisipante. Naghatag usab og short discussion bahin sa Pinggang Pinoy si Ms. Jahzeel Ananoria, Municipal Nutrition Action Officer - Designate.

Yesterday, July 28, 2025, the LGU Nasipit employees energized their day with a 1-hour Zumba Session at the Municipal Hall Grounds as part of the LGU’s Healthy Workplace Program! From heart-pumping moves to team bonding, it was a blast promoting health and happiness at work.

Recognizing the workplace as a key setting for health promotion and disease prevention, the LGU supports the DOH-DOLE-CSC Joint Administrative Order (JAO) 2023-0001, which strengthens healthy workplaces in line with Universal Health Care (UHC).

The Nasipit Rural Health Unit and Family Planning Center, in partnership Dra. Gina Bacol, OB-GYNE, carried out a successful 𝑪𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑩𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝑪𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒓 𝑺𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑨𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒕𝒚 on 𝑱𝒖𝒏𝒆 26, 2025. A total of 53 women were screened, and 4 underwent minor OB-GYN surgical procedures.

The event aimed to raise awareness on the importance of early detection and equipped participants with essential knowledge on women’s health.
