Yu EyeMD

My wife, Janice Marie N. Jordan-Yu and I, are both alumni of Silliman University Medical School, Dumaguete City. In 2016, we left the comfort of the city to pursue our 3-year Ophthalmology Residency Training in Metro Manila. During our senior year of training, we were both given a great privilege to serve as Chief Residents in our respective training institutions and graduated last December 31, 2019 from Cardinal Santos Medical Center and East Avenue Medical Center, respectively. After passing both written and practical component of the board certifying examinations, we were conferred as Diplomates in the Philippine Board of Ophthalmology last August 11, 2019. We were then fortunate to undergo further training as Clinical Research Fellows at the Singapore Eye Research Institute/Singapore National Eye Centre; Janice in Retina, and I in Myopia & Glaucoma, respectively.

Filled with much enthusiasm, we are starting a new chapter in our career as clinicians and we look forward to working closely with local optometrists and ophthalmologists in this beautiful City of Gentle People, as partners in rendering eye care services in the region.

In these challenging times, we are one with the city in maintaining a high level of vigilance and social responsibility to keep our patients safe. Wishing everyone good health and safety as we go through 2020 and the next year together. Cheers!
