How a Suggestion Became an NGO...
Architects for Accessibility (AFA) is the sub-group and affiliate of the United Architects of the Philippines - Quezon City Central Chapter (UAP-QCCC), which aims to promote the rights of Persons with Disabilities (PWD's) through information campaign and awareness programs. It was founded by Director Carmen Reyes-Zubiaga of the National Council on Disability Affairs, and Ar. Rix Abordo and Ar. Peji Cipriano from our chapter. AFA was formally launched last July 17, 2016 during the National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week festivities in Greenhills Shopping Mall at the City of San Juan, Metropolitan Manila, Philippines.
