WORLD OBESITY DAY 2023.

Around the world, approximately 800 million people are living with obesity while millions are at risk to get affected. World Obesity Day is observed on March 4 every year to promote practical solutions and help people achieve and maintain a healthy weight while undertaking proper treatment.

In line with this, we came up with the idea of promoting awareness and encouraging solutions, thru a weight loss challenge.

Inviting everyone to join us next week for this campaign..

This Saturday, March 4, 2023, we will be celebrating World Obesity Day with the theme: “Changing Perspectives: Let’s Talk About Obesity.”

As such, we are inviting everyone to join us in our advocacy for obesity awareness. The Center for Diabetes, Thyroid and Endocrinology will be having a week long activity at the Grand Lobby of LPDHI. We have BMI screening, nutritional and diet counseling, and prepared some booths.

Preventing and solving goiter and iodine deficiency can be achieved through information dissemination, research, education and training, and other preventive measures.

World Thyroid Day (WTD), 25th May, is dedicated to the global thyroid community, to our patients, physicians, and researchers who are committed to the care of thyroid patients and the treatment of thyroid diseases. Every 4th week of May, we also observe the International Thyroid Awareness week.
