To my Patients:
It is OK with me that I give out my personal number for EMERGENCY PURPOSES and QUERIES that cannot wait until our next check-up. I prefer that. However, this personal line to me is NOT for the following:
1. APPOINTMENT SETTING OR ASKING MY SCHEDULE DESPITE KNOWING MY CLINIC- Pls call or text my secretaries in different clinics where you want to go. I will not answer this.
2. ASKING MY WHEREABOUTS TIME AND AGAIN WHILE WAITING FOR YOUR TURN IN THE CLINIC - our time is precious, however, due to the emergency nature of Obstetric cases, and traffic, to add the time allotment I give to each patient, it is more common that you will wait, and be updated by my secretaries. Asking me time and again will not shorten that. And I WILL NOT ANSWER this. If this arrangement is not OK with you, YOU ARE FREE TO SEEK CONSULT WITH OTHER OB OF YOUR CHOICE. Like in the ER setting, I triage my time, attention, expertise and effort to each one of you, more so if admitted. There's only ONE of me for all of you.
3. ASKING FOR MED CERT AND PRESCRIPTION - you may call my secretaries for this. I will not answer this anymore.
Other than the abovementioned, you may text me and I will answer the moment I read them. If emergency, CALL ME.
Also, once you graduate from post partum.care with me, PLS DO SEND ME UPDATES ABOUT YOU AND YOUR BABIES. They are greatly appreciated, and they make everything what we have been through together worthwhile.
Let us make it easier for both of us. Thank you for understanding my boundaries. God bless.
