ROLLOUT OF UNIFIED PWD IDS

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will release the unified identification system for persons with disabilities (PWDs) starting Oct. 13.

This follows the positive feedback received from PWDs in the pilot phase conducted, where the registration process allegedly took only 7 to 10 minutes.

Digital PWD ID features QR code for faster verification of establishments and more secured authentication.

Currently, 56 local government units (LGUs), or equivalent to 311 PWD ID records, which belong to the pilot phase are registered. Approval is at 256 here while 55 are under review.

Ilalabas na ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ang unified identification system para sa persons with disabilities (PWDs) simula Oct. 13.

Kasunod ito ng natanggap na positive feedback mula sa PWDs sa isinagawang pilot phase, kung saan inabot lamang umano ang registration process nang nasa 7 hanggang 10 minuto.

Ife-feature sa digital PWD ID ang QR code para sa mas mabilis na verification ng mga establisimyento at mas secured na authentication.

Sa kasalukuyan, nasa 56 na local government units (LGUs), o katumbas ng 311 PWD ID records, na kabilang sa pilot phase ang rehistrado na. Nasa 256 dito ang aprubado habang 55 ang under review.

Unang-una, bigyan ng priyoridad ang kaligtasan ng ating mga kababayan na may kapansanan. Narito ang ilang quick tips para matulungan silang maging handa sa panahon ng sakuna:
• Magkaroon ng Personal Emergency Kit – Siguraduhing kumpleto ang emergency kit na may mga gamot, first aid, personal hygiene items, at komunikasyon devices na madaling ma-access.
• Tiyakin ang Accessible na Evacuation Routes – Alamin ang mga evacuation centers na may wheelchair access, ramps, at accessible na banyo.
• Magplano ng Assistive Support – Makipag-ugnayan sa pamilya, kaibigan, o kapitbahay para sa suporta sa pag-evacuate. Ipakilala ang mga kasama sa evacuation plan.
• I-update ang Emergency Contact Information – Siguraduhing may listahan ng mga emergency contact numbers at impormasyon ng kapamilya, healthcare provider, at lokal na awtoridad.
• Makinig sa Balita at Alerto – Regular na i-check ang balita at weather updates para sa mabilis na pag-aksyon.
• Alamin ang Serbisyo ng Lokal na Gobyerno – Makipag-ugnayan sa barangay o lokal na opisyal para malaman ang mga serbisyong inaalok para sa mga taong may kapansanan.

PAUNAWA SA PAGPAPALIBAN NG GAWAIN

Sa lahat ng ating minamahal na PWD clients at participants.

Dahil sa inaasahang masamang panahon, ikinalulungkot naming ipaalam na ipinagpapaliban ang nakatakdang awarding ngProsthesis, fitting, refitting, at Hearing Test Measurement na gaganapin sana sa ika-25 at ika-26 ng Setyembre.

☔️ Ginawa namin ang pasyang ito upang masiguro ang kaligtasan ng lahat, lalo na ng ating mga participants, bisita, at mga mag-aaward.

🤝 Lubos po kaming humihingi ng pang-unawa sa anumang abala na maaaring idulot nito. Asahan po ninyo na agad naming ipapaalam ang bagong petsa sa lalong madaling panahon.

*Celebrating 47th National Disability Rights Week: innovation for inclusion: building inclusive communities together.

The Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) recently celebrated the National Disability Rights Week with a meaningful event attended by key stakeholders and leaders. Municipal Mayor Engr. Roger Q. Fodra who expressed his full support to the sector of PWD and said " Ang mga PWD ay hindi dapat kinakaawaan kundi dapat tinutulungan na maging productive sa buhay at ma enjoy ang kanilang karapatan", Representative of Gov. Trina Alejandra Q. Firmalo-Fabic, Ex SBM Rolando "Tatay Doc" Forca, who still support the PDAO activities and other PWD related activities, and guest speaker Vice Mayor Michael "Butchoy" Arevalo, who PWDs is very close to his heart because he is a graduate of Physical Therapy and mentioned some PWD laws along with Sangguniang Bayan members Hon. Juvy F. Faderogaya, Hon. Jack M. Fernandez, and Hon. Joel F. Falogme, graced the occasion.

The event brought together PWD members from various barangays, as well as leaders and representatives from different agencies. A highlight of the celebration was the sensitivity activities, where guests were given the opportunity to experience life as a person with disability, including being blind, deaf, or having mobility challenges.

This event served as a reminder of the importance of inclusion and accessibility for persons with disabilities. Through this celebration, the PDAO reaffirmed its commitment to promoting the rights and welfare of PWDs in the community.

The celebration of National Disability Rights Week is a testament to the community's growing awareness and support for the rights and needs of persons with disabilities. By working together, we can create a more inclusive and accessible society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

The PDAO would like to extend its gratitude to all the participants, guests, and partners who made this event possible. Together, we can continue to promote a culture of inclusion and respect for persons with disabilities.
