Our childrenโs learning journey for the week โ was looking for leaves, spiders, and stones. With curious eyes, they discovered natureโs treasures. Exploring nature helps children see the world with curious eyes. Back inside our classroom they were busy in sorting different shapes and colors, practicing observation and early math skills. To end our week, creativity flowed with process art printing using PVC pipes! The children explored circles, patterns, and colors by stamping and printing, discovering that art can come from everyday materials.
Exploring nature outside and sorting shapes and colors inside may look like playโฆ but itโs also powerful learning as the children observe details from the outside, when they compare, group, and sort (by shapes and colors) and the way they connect ideas from one environment to another. Every moment, whether in nature, in class, or in art, builds their imagination and understanding of the world.
