I graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Psychology and has been teaching in BGOWS for 5 months.

I chose Early Childhood because it’s where my heart feels most at home. It’s not just a job, it’s a part of who I am. Watching little minds grow, hearing their laughter, and being someone they trust.. it gives my life purpose. I’ve always wanted to be the gentle voice, the safe space, the reason a child feels seen and loved. This isn’t just work to me, it’s my passion, my calling, and my way of making the world a little softer.

What a busy week! Last week was all about Process Art, Messy and Sensory Play, our little learners explored the wonders of Grow Foodsβ€”with a gooey twist! We mixed water and cornstarch to create Milky Oobleck, a squishy, stretchy sensory experience and everyone was fascinated!
As tiny hands squished and stirred, we talked about milk as a grow food, helping our bones become strong and healthy. The children experimented with pouring, scooping, and feeling how the mixture changed between solid and liquidβ€”science and nutrition in one delightful activity! For Process Art, children enjoyed pounding the eggshell as we talked about how these eggs help our body grow big and strong. They savored the moment as they pounded and paint the eggshell afterwards.

Over the past two weeks, our Life Class learners explored the colorful world of fruits and veggies through hands-on, sensory-rich activities. From tasting and smelling to sorting and cooking (hello, pancakes!), they engaged their senses, built fine motor skills, and expanded their vocabulary.

It’s been a joy to see their curiosity, creativity, and confidence grow through these real-life learning moments! 🍎πŸ₯•πŸ’š
