Held last June 19, 2025, at the 3rd Floor Multi-Purpose Hall, the evening was filled with meaningful conversations, shared learning, and celebration of milestones within our medical community.

The event featured a timely and insightful lecture on Antimicrobial Stewardship delivered by Dr. Larsen C. Omolon, underscoring our continued commitment to responsible medical practice. We also proudly recognized our Service Awardees, whose years of dedication and service have significantly contributed to the growth and excellence of OSPA-FMC.

🏥✨ In celebration of OSPA-Farmers' Medical Center's 54th Founding Anniversary, we officially kicked off the festivities with our Opening Ceremonies last Friday, June 13!

The program began with heartfelt Opening Remarks from our Chief of Clinics, Dr. Nicolas P. Aviles, followed by the exciting team presentations and the Oath of Sportsmanship led by last year’s Basketball MVP, Mr. Raulito Bugtay.

The event was graced by the presence of OSPA’s Medical Director, Dr. Sandra Angelica F. Chiong, and Administrative Officer, Ma’am Riza R. Lagutin. It was actively participated in by our dedicated employees, resident doctors, and visiting physicians, showcasing the strong unity within our institution.

The highlight of the day featured fun and friendly competition through a relay, obstacle challenge, brain teaser, and flag raising, with four energized teams giving it their all:

📢 ADVISORY
From the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and OSPA-Farmers' Medical Center

🦠 MPOX Prevention and Response in Workplaces and High-Risk Establishments
(Per DOH Department Memorandum 2024-0320)

📌 Transmission: Mpox spreads through close contact with lesions, fluids, or contaminated items.
📌 Symptoms: Watch for fever, rashes, swollen lymph nodes, and fatigue.
📌 Prevention: Maintain good hygiene, wear PPE, clean shared surfaces, and avoid contact with suspected cases.
📌 Reporting: Activate workplace reporting systems and coordinate with LESUs. Workplace managers must take the lead if no OSH Officer is present.
📌 Close Contacts: Monitor for 21 days, isolate if symptoms develop, and follow management advice.
📌 Return to Work: Only after completing isolation with a medical certificate confirming full recovery.
📌 Risk Communication: Promote preventive behaviors and eliminate stigma toward affected individuals.

✅ OSPA-Farmers' Medical Center reminds everyone to remain alert but not alarmed. Early reporting, proper hygiene, and community support are essential in keeping our workplaces safe.
