🌡️👶 Baby Temperature Guide: Keeping Your Little One Comfortable 💖
As a parent, it’s important to monitor your baby’s temperature to make sure they’re feeling their best. Here’s a quick guide to help you:
🔹 Normal Temperature:
– Re**al (most accurate): 97.9°F to 100.4°F (36.5°C to 38°C)
– Axillary (underarm): 97.6°F to 100.3°F (36.4°C to 37.9°C)
– Oral: 98°F to 100°F (36.6°C to 37.8°C)
🔹 Fever:
– Re**al: Above 100.4°F (38°C)
– Axillary: Above 100.3°F (37.9°C)
If your baby has a fever, monitor for other symptoms and contact your pediatrician if the fever lasts for more than a few hours or reaches 104°F (40°C).
🔹 Signs Baby Might Be Too Hot:
– Flushed skin
– Sweating more than usual
– Warm or hot to the touch
Make sure they’re dressed in light clothing, and keep the room cool. Offer water if they’re old enough to drink.
🔹 Signs Baby Might Be Too Cold:
– Cold or clammy skin
– Shivering (rare in young babies)
– Pale or bluish skin
Warm them up with a blanket or adjust the room temperature.
💖 Always trust your instincts and contact your pediatrician if something feels off with your baby’s temperature.
