Hey everyone! It’s been a while that I have not posted anything about my health status. Just a short update, our Kidney Transplant journey has ended unfortunately. We’ve already stayed for at least 6 months at Quezon City for the said KT. We’ve undergone lots of Kidney Transplant Workups (laboratories, screenings and procedures) until we were approved for KT admission, however a day before the surgery, one of the blood tests of my brother who is the Kidney donor was done and his blood creatine test was elevated. It’s still in normal range but it’s in the borderline already. The doctors were so strict and we were advised to find another donor. So sad to say that we were discharged and my brother was advised to do another followup laboratory after a week just to make sure if he’s okay. Glad to know after a week, all his laboratories were normal although we can no longer continue the Kidney Transplant surgery.

I just wanna say “Thank You” to those people who helped me in emotional and financial ways. Also to those who prayed for me and my family all the time, may God bless you. Thank you as well to those people who kept on checking on me if I’m alright and still making me feel that I am being loved.

Even if it’s painful to know that I will have not my Kidney Transplant soon, still I am grateful that I am still here and my brother’s okay. As of now, I am still surviving as I am getting my Dialysis Treatment. Life has so much to offer so let us live our life to the fullest. Hope to find another Kidney Donor soon. Amen.

To everyone:

Leap of Faith! 😇🙏
Long Post Ahead.

Hello there! It’s me! It’s been almost four months since the last post on this page and I believe that I owe you some updates about my health condition. My friends told me that it would be better if I also let the people know how am I doing lately.

Series of laboratory tests were already done. Still not in normal though, it kept on fluctuating. Creatinine level in my blood still increases then decreases, then increases again. I just had my kidney biopsy where a little tissue is extracted from my kidney to study the main cause or what seems to trigger the kidney malfunction. I was admitted to the hospital last Wednesday and glad I was able to check out late last night. Now I am recovering and hope there will be no complications like Hematoma(internal bleeding).

For the moment, I should be vigilant in what I’m eating in order not to reach the point of dialysis, I do have my maintenance medicines to cover me up as well. I was having the best time of my life, enjoying and helping financially my family. Life has been good until one day, I was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease. My whole world collapsed in an instant. For the span of five months, I have lived with limitations, no more appetite wth my food(no salt/less salt), limited water intake and I can’t eat my favorite snacks/dish. Everything has changed. I may have a drastic weight loss but my fighting spirit is always there. I still continue to pray and believe that one day all is well in God’s grace and thy will.

With regards to the plan of having a Kidney Transplant, it’s still way far to achieve yet as there are other circumstances that needs to be considered. I still don’t have a donor though. Hope we can find one. Due to financial constraints, we cant pursue yet the transplant. Hope to get there soon. My family is in the verge of losing everything for my medical expenses. My company’s health insurance is also almost maxed out but still I am grateful that I still have these means of supporting my hospital and medical bills.

To all the people who kept on checking up on me, giving inspirational mesaages and praying for me, thank you all and most of all to my family, boyfriend and friends who are always being there for me who always encourage me to stay strong.

Just to raise awareness, as early as now, please take good care of your health. Try to minimize your coffee, alcohol, seafood and fastfood intake. Drink lots of water, eat more fruits and vegetables. If you don’t, then you will realize how your life will turn upside down once you get CKD. ❤️❤️❤️

CARE for KERR! ♥️

Hello everyone. Please help us raise funds.

Kerr Alnie Concon was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease. She is already at the End Stage now. Medically speaking, her kidney function is already at 13% this moment. She was actually hospitalized last 02/24/2021 and was discharged last 02/28/2021. She was not able to go to work since 02/11/21 due to multiple check ups and laboratory tests and is now currently on leave as she was advised to rest for a month after hospital discharge. Doctors were not able to identify what triggered the kidney failure and thought so that it was hereditary as it was the cause of death of her brother, uncle and grandmother. Her family had already gone a lot of hardships so far and another happened.

What is Chronic Kidney Disease?

A person can die or live by only using one kidney in our whole life. It means the other kidney is reserved and can be only used when the other one fails. When both kidney fail, all the poison in the body can’t be filtered anymore and the person will be poisoned and eventually will die. Here comes the dialysis treatment or blood filtration however it is done two-three times a week which has an estimated 5,000 pesos/session and this will be a lifetime treatment. Having hemodialysis is a very tiring treatment where you have to wait for 4-5 hours until the blood inside you body is filtered by the dialysis machine. It is also much more expensive compared to getting a Kidney Transplant.

We are considering and hoping that getting a Kidney Transplant procedure will help Kerr have a better and normal life again. Against all the expenses and needs for her maintenance medicines, we cannot start to raise money and save for the thorough check up to start the procedure for her to have a kidney transplant. Her family are also doing their best now to raise funds in order to have Kidney Transplant however it takes a lot of money to do so.

We are knocking your hearts to seek financial assistance. Kerr is hesitant to do so but she needs help this time. Kerr is a friend of ours and we all knew how many sacrifices she had since before her illness. We knew that she is a person with character, friendly and generous. As you can see her, she might have no problems as she just keep on smiling but deep inside she’s already in a difficult situation. She had been fighting her own battles in silence since before and hesitant to let people know about her condition. With this simple fund raising event, we hope that you can help her.

LET US PRAY TOGETHER FOR HER FAST RECOVERY. May God bless her.
There’s no impossible with prayers. Fighting! Thank you everyone. 😇🙏
