PWD ID FOR VISUAL IMPAIRMENT

"this means people who has the 20/70 and 20/200 visual acuity with the best corrected vision and even with eyeglasses or contact lenses on are considered with Low Vision and Legally Blind respectively. Thus, they are considered as Persons with Visual Disability and qualify for a Persons with Disability ID Card."

FAQ

ADDITIONAL NOTE:

Dapat ang BEST EYE ay 20/70 or POORER.

Example:

Ang right eye mo ay 20/70
Ang left eye mo ay 20/20

❌ Hindi ka pwede
----‐---------
Ang right eye mo ay 20/200
Ang left eye mo ay 20/100

✅ may isang qualification ka na
--------------

Ang right eye mo ay 20/40
Ang left eye mo ay 20/40
Pero mataas ang grado

❌ Hindi rin pwede
--------------

There are also levels of visual impairment based on visual field loss (loss of peripheral vision).

Women's tend to have dry eye more than men, here's why??

Dry eye syndrome is more likely to affect women because of the hormonal changes that can occur throughout a woman's life. The fluctuation of estrogen, testosterone, and progesterone can directly affect tear production and quality. For example, low testosterone levels and high estrogen levels can both play a role in the development of dry eyes.

Furthermore, women who take oral contraceptives may also be more likely to experience dry eyes as a side effect. That's because birth control pills cause a reduction in androgen levels, which may lead to fewer tears being produced as well as less tear-film stability.

Pregnancy is another situation in which women may experience dry eyes. Some women find that they need to temporarily stop wearing contact lenses or eye makeup while pregnant due to increased eye sensitivity. Morning sickness can also cause dehydration, which can play a role in dry eyes as well.

If you are experiencing dry eyes and the discomfort they can cause, here are a few steps you can take to find relief.

➡️Stay hydrated
➡️Use a humidifier in your home or office
➡️Always remove eye makeup before bed with a gentle makeup remover
➡️Wear sunglasses outdoors to help protect eyes from debris and wind
➡️Make an appointment with your eye doctor for further treatment and management

From birth until school age, a child's eyes and brain form vital connections. Anything that blocks or blurs vision in one or both eyes can slow down or prevent these connections.
If that happens, the brain might not fully recognize the images seen by one or both eyes. This condition is then referred to as "Amblyopic."

Not all kids with Amblyopia will have crossed or wandering eyes. In fact, many have eyes that are perfectly straight. If your child experiences, double vision, constant squinting of the eyes and learning difficulties related to vision problems, visit us at Vision Therapy Philippines. Our team is dedicated to serve you/your child’s visual needs.
