The Bagong Urgent Care and Ambulatory Service (BUCAS) program aims to bridge the gap between primary care facilities like Plaridel Community Hospital (PCH) and higher level health institutions like MHARS Medical Center (MHARSMC)

A DOH program sought to increase access of both urgent and ambulatory medical and surgical care needs especially to indigent population.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Department of Family and Community Medicine of MHARS-MC, in partnership with the PAFP Ozamiz Chapter, on the successful conduct of their second activity last May 14, 2025, in celebration of World Family Doctor Day, with the theme:

“Building Mental Resilience in a Changing World.”

The activity featured a Mental Health Check-Up held in Barangay Bitoon, Clarin, delivering essential mental health services directly to the community. This initiative is a testament to the department’s strong commitment to community-based healthcare and the promotion of mental wellness.

This meaningful outreach was made possible through the leadership of Dr. Bryan Victor Robiego, Consultant in Charge of Community Day, and Dr. Joyce Suzanne Alfafara, Community Rotator—alongside the dedicated residents of the department.

The DFCM in the presence of MHARSMC Medical Center Chief - Dr. Jennifer Lynn C. Urbiztondo in collaboration as well with the PAFP-Ozamiz City Chapter and Dietary Department staffs and faculties were in full force to support the advocacy program by our senior 3rd Year resident - Dr. Frenz Dale Magno and with mentor Dr. Bryan Victor Robiego on "Green Initiative Program" Ground Breaking Ceremony within the Hospital premise.

Green Initiative Program encompasses various efforts aimed at promoting environmental sustainability, to support planting and to promote waste reduction, renewable energy adoption, and other sustainable practices.
