There are different types of :

👉 HSV-1:
🔸 Commonly causes oral herpes with cold sores or mouth ulcers.
🔸 Often spread through saliva or oral contact in childhood.
🔸 Can also cause ge***al herpes later in life through s*xual contact.

👉 HSV-2:
🔸 Main cause of ge***al herpes, responsible for 90% of recurrent ge***al symptoms.
🔸 Spread mainly through s*xual activity.
🔸 Increases the risk of acquiring HIV by up to three times.

Condoms prevent most s*xually transmitted infections, including HIV. Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) prevents HIV but not other s*xually transmitted infections.

Bunsod ng mga paghahanda sa tinatayang landfall ng bagyong Crising ngayong gabi, itinaas ng DOH ang Code White Alert sa DOH Operations Center (OpCen).

Sa ilalim ng Code White Alert, inihahanda ng DOH OpCen ang mga gamot, medical equipment, at Health Emergency Response Teams para sa mga rehiyon na tinatayang maapektuhan ng bagyo.

Nakaantabay naman ang National Emergency Hotline 911 at local emergency hotlines para sa mga mangangailangan ng tulong.

Ginawa nang mas madali at mabilis ang access ng mga Pilipino sa HIV testing ngayon.

Kung ikukumpara noon, aabot sa pitong araw hanggang tatlong linggo bago malaman ang HIV status ng isang tao sa pamamagitan ng confirmatory test. Ngayon, isang araw lang ang kakailanganin para makuha ang resulta. Maaaring makuha ang HIV confirmatory test sa 168 rHIVda laboratories.

Ang confirmatory test ay kailangan para sa mga nagkaroon ng reactive result sa initial HIV test.
