𝗦𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵.

𝓓𝓲𝓭 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓴𝓷𝓸𝔀? Research shows that poor sleep quality is associated with increased rule-breaking behaviors, as well as higher levels of depression and anxiety.

Adequate sleep helps the brain process emotional information, which influences mood and emotional reactivity. In other words, sleep plays a vital role in emotional balance.

Thus, prioritizing sleep is just as important as taking care of your physical and social well-being when supporting your mental health.

Have you ever found it hard to ask for something you need or want?

Depending on the person, talking with others can be very simple or incredibly difficult, which makes requests a difficult but necessary task for some. Still, there are a few ways which can help us in communicating with friends, family, colleagues, and other people in our lives to have better relationships with them. One way of getting the message across is through DEAR MAN, a technique found in DBT that will help you express yourself and be heard.

As we move through busy schedules, high expectations, and everyday pressures, let this be your reminder: taking care of yourself allows you to show up healthier, stronger, and more present for the people and responsibilities that matter.

Choosing yourself isn’t selfish. It’s self-respect. 💜
