These individuals are often the first point of contact for healthcare in many areas, providing essential services and promoting health awareness among their neighbors. Their commitment to improving the well-being of their communities is truly remarkable.
Today, our Barangay Health Workers Day celebration began with a meaningful Mass, followed by a joyous gathering to honor the invaluable contributions of our BHWs. We were especially grateful for the presence of our supportive Midwife Milagros R. Calibo, our one call away- Kagawad on Health Dario Arcamo, whose participation made our celebration even more meaningful. Our sincere thanks also go to our generous sponsors and to everyone who contributed to making this day a memorable one. Thank you so much and Happy BHW Day!!

Successfully completed a PHILPEN ( The Philippine Package of Essential Non-Communicable Diseases Intervention) assessment today in Purok 3, Danao, Panglao, Bohol! A big thank you to our dedicated NDP and BHW teams for their hard work and commitment to improving community health. Their efforts are crucial in addressing the growing challenge of non-communicable diseases in our communities.

The Barangay Health Station held its monthly HPN/DM meeting yesterday April 24, 2025, combining health and fun! We kicked things off with a Zumba session to promote physical activity, followed by the distribution of essential medications. Making a difference one assessment at a time! Today, April 24, 2025 ,our team, including BHWs, NDP, and our midwife, spent the day at Sto. Niño Chapel conducting NCD assessments for the residents of Purok 5, focusing on early detection of chronic diseases. These assessments included reviewing patients' medical history, physical exams and some lab test (Doctor's Order). Early detection is key to better health outcomes. Thank you to everyone for their cooperation and dedication to community well-being!

BHW in ACTION😉

Making a visible difference, one bag at a time! In celebration of Earth Day, Barangay Health Workers (BHW) of Barangay Danao participated in Community Clean Up Drive together with SK President, transformed the stretch from Kalipayan Corner to the Danao Traffic Light. This busy area, often burdened with litter, now shines with renewed cleanliness. We removed over 10 large bags of trash, including a significant amount of plastic bottles, food wrappers, and discarded styrofoam containers. The improved appearance is a testament to our dedication to environmental protection and community well-being. Thank you also to everyone who participated in this activity.
