Ang Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Parang, katuwang ang ating mga Barangay Health Workers at Nutrition Scholars, ay magsasagawa ng 2026 Operation Timbang Plus para sa mga batang 0–59 months old.

👶 Layunin:
✔️ Masubaybayan ang timbang at tangkad ng mga bata
✔️ Maagang matukoy ang undernutrition, overnutrition, at iba pang nutritional concerns
✔️ Makapagbigay ng tamang payo at interventions para sa kalusugan ng ating mga anak

👨‍👩‍👧 Sino ang inaanyayahan: Lahat ng magulang/guardian ng batang 0–59 buwan

‼️ LIGTAS-TIGDAS VACCINATION, SISIMULAN NA SA ENERO 2026‼️

Inanunsyo ni DOH Secretary Ted Herbosa na sisimulan na ng Department of Health (DOH) ang Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR SIA) o ang Ligtas-Tigdas Vaccination:

✅ Phase 1 (Mindanao at BARMM): January 19, 2026 - February 13, 2026
✅ Phase 2 (Luzon at Visayas): June 2026

Sa pamamagitan ng Ligtas-Tigdas Vaccination, paiigtingin ng kagawaran, katuwang ang lokal na pamahalaan, ang bakunahan kontra tigdas o measles at tigdas-hangin o rubella para mapigilan ang pagkamatay ng mga bata dahil sa sakit.

Mga batang anim na buwan hanggang limang taong gulang ang target na mabakunahan ng DOH.

Ang tigdas at tigdas-hangin ay mabilis na makahawa at nakamamatay. Pero, kung may bakuna ang mga batang anim na buwan hanggang limang taong gulang, protektado na sila sa panganib ng tigdas.

Sa huling tala ng DOH nitong December 6, umabot na sa 4,843 ang kaso ng measles-rubella sa bansa ngayong taon, kung saan 3,511 o 73% ng kabuuang kaso ay hindi bakunado. Ang kabuuang bilang na ito ay mas mataas ng 29% kumpara sa 3,748 na kaso noong taong 2024.

Kabilang sa tatlong nangungunang rehiyon na may pinakamaraming kaso ay:
* National Capital Region: 1,027 kaso
* BARMM: 768 kaso
* CALABARZON: 505 kaso

❗Paalala ng DOH: Patuloy pa rin ang pagbabakuna sa mga health centers at itinalagang fixed vaccination sites kahit ngayong holiday season kaya inaanyayahan ang mga magulang na makipag-ugnayan sa pinakamalapit na health center para sa pagpapabakuna ng kanilang mga chikiting.

As we wrapped up the year, RHU Parang proudly honored our Community Health Workers who tirelessly work hand in hand with our Health Care Providers in every community. Maraming salamat po sa inyong walang sawang serbisyo at dedikasyon!

As we close the year 2025, the Rural Health Unit of Parang gathered its Community Health Workers for a simple yet meaningful year-end get-together. This activity aimed to honor their dedication, commitment, and perseverance throughout the year in supporting the implementation of various health programs.

The event was attended by our hardworking Barangay Health Workers, Barangay Nutrition Scholars, Bangsamoro Nutrition Workers, and Barangay Sanitary Inspectors. We are also grateful for the presence and support of our guest in behalf of LGU Parang under the strong leadership of Honorable Mayor Cahar P. Ibay, the Sangguniang Bayan Committee on Health representative, Ms. Cyrelle Mari Saavedra-Mayo, RN.
