This rainy season, it's essential to stay vigilant against diseases like leptospirosis, which can be contracted through exposure to contaminated water. To ensure your health and safety, we are pleased to announce that the school clinic is now offering Leptospirosis Prophylaxis Prescription Services. Leptospirosis prophylaxis involves the use of antibiotics to prevent infection after potential exposure to contaminated water. This service is particularly beneficial for those who engage in outdoor activities or are at risk of exposure due to their daily routines.
If you believe you may have been exposed to potentially contaminated water or are planning activities in high-risk areas, please email the school clinic (clinic@mtc.edu.ph) at your earliest convenience with the following information:
Name:
Birthdate:
Preferred contact # (in case of teleconsult):
Date of floodwater exposure:
Any wounds exposed to floodwater?
Will you be exposed to floodwater in the coming days/weeks afterward?
Any symptoms?
Allergies to medication (if any)
For female: Pregnant? If yes, how many weeks
Your health and safety are our top priorities, and we encourage everyone to take proactive measures against preventable illnesses. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about leptospirosis prophylaxis, feel free to contact your local health center.
Stay safe, Titans!
