PNSI is the pioneer institution in Naturopathy in the Philippines established in 2009 with members exclusive only to naturopathy practitioners who are graduates of Richter School of Natural Therapeutics and other recognized naturopathy schools in the Philippines. The organization was founded by Cecilia Lucentales, D.Sc. (AM) - the chairperson of Richter School of Natural Therapeutics - the pioneer school offering Basic Naturopathy Certification course as well as Iridology training and is the ONLY alternative medicine training with its own clinical training facility - the Richter Alternative Medical Center Phils., Inc. and has produced a total of 147 Batches of Naturopathy graduates and the most number of alternative medicine clinic branches and affiliates throughout the Philippines. In November 2011 PNSI held its very First Philippine Naturopathy Practitioners' Convention and exhibition in Makati City with the theme: "Embracing Natural Healing Toward a Healthy World" with keynote speaker PITAHC Director-General Juvencio F. Ordona, MD who was represented by Francis Vincent Ras, MD.

Munggo Masustansya, Hindi Bawal sa Arthritis

Masustansya, masarap, at mura ang munggo. MALI ang paniniwala na masama ito sa arthritis. Sa katunayan, maraming itong benepisyo sa puso, utak at katawan.
Ilang sa mga benepisyo ng munggo ay:
1. Bagay ang munggo sa lahat ng tao dahil napakaraming bitamina at mineral tulad ng vitamin A, vitamin K, vitamin B1 o Thiamine, B2 o Riboflavin, B3 o Niacin o Trytophan, B5 o Panthothenic acid, B6 o Pyridoxine, B9 o Folate o Folic Acid; mga mineral tulad ng copper, iron, manganese, zinc, phosporus, magnesium, potassium, calcium at sodium.
2. Bagay ang munggo sa lumalaking bata dahil sa kumpleto sa bitamina at mineral.
3. Merong anti-oxidants laban sa pagtanda at panlaban sa kanser gaya ng vitamin A, C, E at beta carotene. Ang vitamin A, B1, B2, B6 ay pang-neutralize ng free radicals laban sa kanser at Alzheimers’ disease.
4. Ang laman na purine ng munggo ay katamtaman (moderate) lamang kaya pwede kainin ng may rayuma. Kung mataas ang uric acid ay hinay hinay lang pagkain, hindi po bawal. Ang bawal sa merong gout ay yung mataas sa purine tulad ng atay, pale, bato, balunan o yung nasa bopis.
5. Mayroong isoflavones na katulad ng hormone na estrogen ng babae na kailangan para sa pre-menstrual syndrome, hot flushes at insomnia.
6. May taglay na calcium at phosphorus para sa buto.
7. Maganda sa puso dahil walang cholesterol at ang fiber sa munggo ay laban sa bad cholesterol.
8. Inirerekomenda ito ng American Diabetes Association dahil mababa ito sa Glycemic Index kaya pwedeng kainin ng may diabetes.
Kaya ano pa ang hinihintay niyo? Isama din ang munggo sa mga talbos ng ampalaya o bunga, talbos ng malunggay, sili, spinach, alugbati, kangkong, sitaw, kalabasa at talong. Siguradong malusog at malakas kayo.
