🧠 Mental Health Awareness Seminar at Sagad High School 🧠

💡Last October 9, Sagad High School hosted an insightful Mental Health Awareness Seminar to help our students understand the importance of mental well-being. Our guest speakers shared valuable tips on self-care, stress management, and the importance of seeking support when needed. Students were also encouraged to open up about their experiences and learn how to maintain a healthy mind in challenging times.

💡 Why is Mental Health Important? Mental health affects how we think, feel, and act. It’s crucial for managing stress, building relationships, and making good decisions. Through this seminar, we aim to break the stigma surrounding mental health and encourage everyone to prioritize emotional wellness. Remember, taking care of your mental health is just as important as your physical health.

🦷 Dental Activities at Sagad High School! 🦷

Last October 8, Sagad High School hosted a successful dental activity aimed at promoting the importance of good oral hygiene among our students! Our dedicated team of health professionals provided free dental check-ups, shared tips on proper brushing and flossing techniques, and educated students about the significance of maintaining healthy teeth and gums.

💡 Why is Dental Hygiene Important? Good dental hygiene isn’t just about having a great smile—it’s about protecting your overall health! Neglecting oral care can lead to gum disease, tooth decay, and even heart problems. By practicing proper dental hygiene, such as brushing twice a day, flossing, and visiting the dentist regularly, we can avoid these risks and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

🌟 Thank You for Joining Us! 🌟

We’re thrilled to share that our Menstruation Awareness Event, sponsored by Kotex, was a success today, September 27!

🌸 Sagad High School students had the opportunity to engage with representatives from Kotex in an open and informative setting. Together, we broke down stigma surrounding menstruation and fostered a deeper understanding within our community. It was encouraging to see students come together, and we hope this event inspired everyone to be more informed and supportive of one another.

🩸 A big thank you to everyone who participated and picked up their free Kotex napkins! Remember, taking care of menstrual health is essential, and we’re committed to keeping the conversation going.

WIN NA WINS SA SAGAD HIGH SCHOOL PASIG CITY

Last March 15, 2024, our school achieved a stellar three-star rating, the highest possible grade. This recognition is a testament to the unwavering dedication and hard work of our community in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment. The Validators lauded our efforts, affirming our commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Principal Ma'am Nenet M. Peñaranda, and our esteemed colleagues, Sir Jhon Lloyd C. Barola, Sir Rick Obligado, Sir Arnaldo Santos, Ma'am Connie Fundemera, Ma'am Marlene Abuacan, Ma'am Jeniper Jamora Manzanillo, Sir C**t Andal Dorimon, Ma'am Ruth Carona, and our dedicated science teachers. Menstruation, also known as the period, is a woman's regular monthly cycle of vaginal bleeding. Your body gets ready for pregnancy every month. In the event of no pregnancy, the lining of the uterus, or womb, sheds.

✳️ WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF MENSTRUATION?

Well, here are some of the symptoms of Menstruation:

• Menstruation Cramps - to lessen the pain during your menstruation, you must stay relaxed and put a hot compress on your tummy because it helps you to lessen the pain and helps you to sleep 💥😰💢😮‍💨

• Food cravings - Hormone changes can cause a drop in blood sugar level, which leads to sugar cravings 🤤🍽️🍫🧋🍪🍕🍟

• Mood swing - it happens most of the time because they feel irritable and sad when they have a period. 😀🤨😕🥴😳🙃

✳️ WHAT WE MUST DO WHEN WE HAVE PERIOD?

•STAY HYDRATED - drink water every day to lessen the bloating of your tummy 💦😊✅

•USE PROPER HYGIENE PRODUCT - use napkins if you have periods it is the carrier of blood 🩸✅

•PRACTICE GOOD PERSONAL HYGIENE - after you use the napkins, fold them and then, cover them with paper and put in into a trash bag. Take a shower every day. 🧻🧼🧖🏻‍♀️🚿🧴🪥✅

•MANAGE THE PAIN - stay relaxed and don’t stress yourself ☺️🙏🏻💆‍♀️✅

GREETINGS, SAGADIANS!

One of the students of Sagad High School arrived to school with chicken pox due to an unforeseen circumstance. The WinS club played a part in helping the teacher take care of him by encouraging the concerned student to wash their hands. The teacher assumed responsibility for his care. Before letting the pupils back in, the school utility also cleaned and sanitized the room.

To keep ourselves and our loved ones safe, let's take care of ourselves and always wash our hands. 💙💙💙
