OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Play is a child's occupation. Through the use of play, the occupational therapist help children to acquire and learn the skills needed to be productive in their lives (at home, school and community). These includes but are not limited to:
- Promot
ing independence in daily living skills - including dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Facilitating developmental play skills.
- Improving fine motor and eye-hand coordination skills.
- Improving sensory processing skills - including organization, self-regulation, and behavioral state.
- Improving visual motor and visual perceptional skills like writing and coloring.
- Improving gross motor physical skills like crawling, walking, running, jumping, etc.
- Improving basic cognitive skills.

- Basic academic skills.
- Modified teaching techniques to fit the learning style of the child.
