Ang assessment ng Developmental Pediatrician or Child Psychologist is usually focused on:
• diagnosis
• developmental profile
• cognitive and behavioral concerns
• identifying possible conditions like Autism, ADHD, delays, etc.
• recommendations for support and intervention
Very important ito because it gives clarity and direction.
Pero ang assessment sa therapy…
iba naman ang goal.
Ang focus nito ay:
“What’s the best way para matututo ang batang ito?”
Because not all children learn the same way.
Sa therapy assessment, tinitingnan:
• anong teaching approach ang effective
• ano ang motivation ng bata
• ano ang strengths niya
• ano ang challenges niya
• paano siya magrespond sa instructions
• paano siya natututo at nakikipag-interact
Because the goal is not just to understand the child—
but to create a program that fits the child.
Individualized.
Targeted.
More effective.
Because therapy should not be “pare-pareho lang.”
The program should fit the child… not the other way around.
