Alam mo ba na hindi agad ume-epekto ang anti-rabies vaccine?
Kailangan ng katawan ng 7 araw o higit pa bago makabuo ng sariling antibodies o panlaban laban sa rabies virus.

💉 Eh paano kung malalim ang kagat? O sa ulo o leeg?
Mas mataas ang panganib dito — dahil mas malapit ang sugat sa utak, mas mabilis na makakarating ang rabies virus kung hindi maagapan.

👉 Kaya may ERIG (Equine Rabies Immunoglobulin)
Ito ay gamot na ibinibigay agad-agad para protektahan ka habang wala pa ang epekto ng bakuna.
Ini-inject ito sa mismong sugat, para hadlangan agad ang virus na kumalat.

⚠️ Ang pinaka-iniiwasan natin ay ang makalusot ang virus papunta sa utak.
Kapag nakarating na ito sa utak, hindi na ito magagamot at siguradong ikamamatay — kaya kailangang maagapan bago pa ito mangyari.

📌 Tandaan:
✔️ Hindi sapat ang bakuna lang sa malalalim at high-risk na kagat
✔️ ERIG ang pansamantalang panlaban habang hinihintay ang antibodies mula sa vaccine
✔️ Mas mabilis magdesisyon, mas mataas ang chance na makaligtas
