The Healing Band Constitution and By Laws
PREAMBLE
We, the officers and members of the Healing Band of the Medical Colleges of Northern Philippines through the Guidance of our Almighty God, in order to bond together for our common welfare as well as the welfare of the students who shall come after us, do ordain and promulgate this constitution and by- laws. ARTICE I: Name of the Organization
Section I.....The organization shall be known and recognize as, "The Healing Band". Section II.....The address of the organization shall be at the Medical Colleges of NOrthern Philippines, Alimanao Hills, Peñablanca, Cagayan. ARTICLE II: Membership
Section I....All bona fide students of the College of Physical Therapy shall, without any discrimination on whatever basis, be member of the Healing Band. Section II.....Memberships shall commence with official enrollment and shall end either upon graduation or severance from the school, whether voluntary or involuntary. Section III.....There shall be a membership fee of P50.00 which shall be collected by the Officers for projects and funding of special activities of the Organization. ARTICLE III: Objectives
The Healing Band shall have the following objectives:
1. To bring about harmonious, fraternal, constructive and helping relations between students of the College of Physical Therapy.
2. To promote the well-being of the stidents of the College of Physical Therapy;
3. To liaise between the students of the College of Physical Therapy and the members of the Administration as well as the members of the Faculty;
4. To liaise between the students of the College of the Physical Therapy and the members of the Administration as well as the member of the Faculty.
5. To represent the students of the College of Physical Therapy in all situation and circumstance that call for representation:
6. To maintain discipline among the students of the College of Physical Therapy by peermonitoring and the administration of restorative justice;
7. To seek out opportunities for growth in competency as well as maturity in personal life of the students of the college of the Physical Therapy;
8. To do all may be beneficial to the students of the college of Physical Therapy in keeping with vision, mission , and goals of the Medical Colleges Of Northern Philippines.
9. To raise funds for the purpose of the band and to deposit or secure them in the bands name for the Bands benefit. ARTICLE IV: Funds
Section I..... Every semester, the collected membership fee shall directly be deposited under the custodian to finance any approved project of the organization subject for review of the concept paper. Section II..... The collected funds shall only be released upon approval of the adviser and the club president and shall have to subject for liquidation and submission of statement of accounts. Section III..... Registered students of the department is entitled to the benefits and privileges and is subject to the rules and regulation of the club organization. ARTICLE V: Election of Officers and Administration
Section I..... The election of the organization officers shall be held annually within the month of June during the Orientation Program of the College. Section II..... The general administration and direction of the affairs of the organization shall be held in the hands of the major officers and the advisers. Activities and important agendas shall be vested on the following: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor, and Business Managers. Section III..... The officers shall hold the term for one academic year and until their successors shall have been elected and inducted into the office. Section IV..... In case of vacancy by resignation or removal of office, the organization shall follow the law of succession. ARTICLE VI: Duties and Responsibilities
Section I..... President
a. He shall be the head of the organization. He shall call and preside over the meetings
c. He shall carry out the policies and promulgate or implement all regulations, constitutions and by laws of the organization. He shall represent the organization in all matters deemed necessary. He shall perform duties inherent to the office of the President. Section II: Vice President
a. He shall assist the President in managing affairs and activities of the organization. He shall be the overall chairman of all working committees. He shall perform as the Chairperson in the absence of the President. he shall perform other duties inherent to the vice president. Section III: Secretary
a. He shall record all minutes of meetings, which shalol be used as the official documents of the organization. He shall keep a complete list of the names and addresses of all the members. He shall prepare agenda of all meetings called by the organization. He shall perform other duties inherent to the office of the secretary. Section IV: Treasurer
a. He shall take charge of all the financial matters of the organization such as prompt collection and accounting of all funds. He shall see to it that finances of the organization are intact and stable. He shall keep a record of all book accounts which shall be opened for inspection. The shall always be ready for presentation of the financial status pf the organization to the members and officers during General Assembly meetings. Section V: Auditor
a. He shall audit the books of the organization monthly or semi- annually. He shall perform other duties inherent to the auditor. Article VII: Meetings
Section I... The first meeting will be held on the 2nd week after the start of classes. Planning and details of all the programs shall be initially done during discussions. Section II... Regular meetings will be held in one of the rooms assigned in the college of Physical Therapy which shall be scheduled every last Friday of the month except for emergency meeting called by the president and the adviser. Section III... All officers are expected to attend their scheduled meetings, a penalty of P100.00 shall be imposed in case of absences which shall be added to the organization's fund. ARTICLE VIII: Amendments
Section I... The constitution and by laws shall be amended by votes of the majority of its members. ARTICLE IX: Effectivity
Adoption of these by laws take effect immediately after the General Assembly subject to the approval of the school administration.
