On this day in 1964, the first Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy graduates from the University of the Philippines School of Allied Medical Professions (UP SAMP) founded the Philippine Physical Therapy Association. The founding president was Mr. Jose I. Inoturan.

On this momentous occasion, we proudly celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Philippine Physical Therapy Association (PPTA). For six decades, the PPTA has been at the forefront of advancing physical therapy practices, advocating for patient care, and contributing to the growth and development of healthcare in the Philippines. We extend our deepest gratitude to all who have contributed to our journey, and look forward to continuing our mission of excellence, innovation, and service for many years to come.
