A healthy mind starts off with a healthy body. ❤️‍🩹

💉Ensuring the continuity of the protective coverage from the routine immunizations received by a child during infancy, the RHU-Pilar participated in this year's school-based immunization. This is an annual program conducted by theDepartment of Health that allows for the administration of booster doses for Measles & Rubella(MR), and Tetanus & Diptheria(TD) vaccines. 💉

The target for this vaccination effort are all the students from the Grades 1& 7. Children, with their guardian's consent, were screened, and if without any contraindications, were given booster doses for MR & TD vaccines.

Along with MR & TD vaccines, female students from the grade 5 level have also started to receive their second dose of HPV vaccine, the vaccine primarily responsible for protection agianst cervical cancer.

With coordination from the DepEd(through the respective head teachers from each schools in Pilar) the RHU team have been able to provide complete coverage to all eligible students.

As the future leaders & members of the municipality, we will continue to serve the youth of Pilar!

The RHU-Pilar conducted its bi-annual Program Implementation Review(PIR). This is imperative in order for the health unit to know where it stands in its accomplishment in the delivery of health services.

Through this activity, a sense of self-awareness is imbued into the unit; allowing the unit insights on the methods that are successful in achieving its goals; and, be able to identify issues & areas where improvements can be made.

With every PIR done, the RHU becomes more aware, more confident & more determined to serve the people of Pilar. Looking forward to the second half of year 2025!

July 08, 2025, Pilar Municipal Hall Mayor's Conference Room

The Municipal Nutrition Council convened for a meeting last July 08, 2025. Lead by Hon. Mayor Jeasa C. Gonzales, facilitated by MNAO, Jean E. Cordita & PHN, John Mar E. Virtudazo, attended by MNC members, Brgy. Captains, RHU staff and representatives from the Zuelig Family Foundation.

Members of the council were oriented on the Pook Kalusugan Program dashboard--An application, that since last year, has been utilized by the staff from the RHU-Pilar.

The application, sponsored by the Zuellig Family Foundation for the people of Pilar, is a tool, that among other things, aims to record & monitor the health & nutrition of pregnant patients and children aged 0-59 months living within the municipality. It has allowed for a more precise & timely data collection, storage, retrieval, interpretation & presentation. The amount of convenience allowed for by the program could mean more effective interventions in addressing the health & nutrition needs of the concerned patients.

Another key & unique feature of the application is that it allows for the geotagging of the patient's residence, making it easier to locate them should the need for interventions arise.

This is but one of many steps that the RHU-Pilar is taking to move forward into the future in service of the Pilarnons! And this wouls have not been possible without the Zuellig Family Foundation's assistance, and with that, we say, Salamat Karajaw!❤️

An MPOX kay Isa ka makatakod na sakit na gikan sa Monkeypox virus na jaoy mga sintomas na halos pareha ra sa smallpox. Ini na mga sintomas kasagaran mugawas sa ika 5 hangtud ikaw 21 ka adlaw gikan ma close contact sa tawo na jaoy sab sintomas.

An mga sintomas nan ini mudugay nan 2 hangtod 4 ka semana sa kalawasan. Ini na sakit kay makatapon gikan pagsugod sa pag tunga nan mga sintomas hangtud sa adlaw na magkatang-tang and kugan sa kada butoy.
Inin MPOX kay magdaya nan grabe na mga butoy sanan samad sa wayong, alima sanan sa hain-hain na parti nan kalawasan.

Mga Common na Sintomas:
* Hilanat
* Masakit na kalawasan
* Paghubag nan lugay
* Rashes sa tibuok kalawasan

Pamaagi na ikaw matapnan:
* Direkta na skin to skin contact sa tao na jaoy butoy-butoy na tungod sa Mpox (pakipaghilawas o dugay na contact sa tao na infected)
* Paghikap sa mga contaminado na gamit sama sa baro, haboy og uban pa
* Mga body fluids nan tao na positibo sa MPOX sama sa laway og uban pa

Kun jaoy sa iju naka sinati nan ini na mga sintomas importante gajud na magpakonsulta dajon sa pinakasuod na Health center or Hospital.

Responsibilidad nato sa ato kaugalingon sanan sa ato isig katao ang pagpakabana kabahin sa ini na sakit nanghinaot kami sa ijo partisipasyon sa pagpaka alerto sa pagbantay nan ini na sakit.

"TEKNOLOHIYA PARA SA MABILIS NA SERBISYONG PANGKALUSUGAN" 💻🩺

The RHU-PILAR, adapting to the changing of times, has taken a step forward towards modernization by utilizing iClinicSys-an Electronic Medical Record system that allows for a more efficient patient data collection, processing & storage. ⌨️

It is only imperative that users of the iClinicSys become proficient in the use of the system. Thus, personnel from the RHU-PILAR underewent iClinicSys training last April 23 & 24, 2025.

Conducted by the KIMITS personnel from the regional DOH office, the personnel from the RHU gained valuable knowledge necessary to use the program.

This is but the beginning, as many quirks in the database are yet to be ironed out, but a bright beginning nonetheless. Ensuring that the people of Pilar will never be left in obsolesence, on the contrary, will become one of the forerunners of modern health care service delivery in the island.
