Peer Facilitators Promote Mental Wellness Through LIFE: Su***de Prevention and Mental Wellness Campaign

The Peer Facilitators Organization took a proactive step in advocating for mental health by setting up an interactive booth for LIFE: Su***de Prevention and Mental Wellness Campaign. The initiative aimed to raise awareness on su***de prevention, promote mental wellness, and provide students with practical strategies to manage academic stress.

Throughout the event, Peer Facilitators engaged with students, distributing informative pamphlets, flyers, and treats, all designed to encourage open conversations about mental health. The materials provided valuable insights on recognizing warning signs of distress, seeking help, and building resilience in the face of academic pressures.

In addition to distributing resources, the booth served as a safe space for students to express their concerns and receive peer support. Facilitators shared stress management techniques, self-care strategies, and information on available mental health services. The initiative underscored the importance of fostering a supportive and stigma-free campus environment, reinforcing the message that no one has to struggle alone.

The LIFE: Su***de Prevention and Mental Wellness Campaign reflects the Peer Facilitators Organization’s commitment to creating a culture of care and mental well-being within the school community. Through continuous advocacy and support, they hope to empower students to prioritize their mental health and seek help when needed.

𝐇𝐈𝐑𝐀𝐘𝐀 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄: Retorika Joins Project Hiraya for January 2025 Relaunch

As of December 8, 2024, nine organizations have now partnered with Dawani-SCG for Project Hiraya: GAD @ Your Service Child Caring Program. The newest addition is Retorika: Masining na Pagpapahayag, joining the College of Development Education Student Council (CDE-SC), Literary and Communication Arts Guild (LCAG), Peer Facilitators Organization (PFO), League of Pre-Service Elementary Educators (LPEE), Guild of English Majors (GEMS), League of Future Mathematics Teachers (LFMT), CBSUA Pili – College Red Cross Youth Council, and the Gryphon CBSUA-Pili.

Led by the Dawani Student Core Group and the CBSUA Regional GAD Resource Center, Project Hiraya is set to relaunch in January 2025, aiming to promote children’s development through initiatives like peer teaching, educational kit distribution, book drives, feeding programs, and gender-sensitive storytelling sessions.

The Dawani Student Core Group continues to encourage organizations and sponsors to join this impactful initiative. Partnerships will be formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding with terms and conditions mutually agreed upon.
