Nutrition Monitoring and Data Quality Check
A nutrition monitoring and data quality check was conducted in Barangay Pambisan Malaki involving the Barangay Nutrition Scholar ,Ms. Edna Arganda. The activity was facilitated by the Municipal Nutrition Action Officer ,Nurse Amafe Lozano.
The activity aimed to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of nutrition-related data at the barangay level. A comprehensive review of records was undertaken, including Operation Timbang results, master lists of children, and other nutrition program monitoring forms.
All submitted reports were carefully validated and cross-checked against source documents to identify discrepancies, missing entries, and inconsistencies. Particular attention was given to the proper recording of anthropometric measurements, accurate classification of nutritional status, and timely submission of reports.
Technical guidance and mentoring were provided to Ms. Edna Arganda to further strengthen her capacity in data recording, reporting, and management. Issues identified during the review were discussed, and appropriate recommendations were provided to enhance data quality.
The activity underscored the importance of accurate and reliable data in the effective planning, implementation, and evaluation of nutrition programs. Continuous monitoring and supportive supervision were encouraged to sustain high standards of data quality in the barangay.
