Tuberculosis Post-Treatment Visitation
📍Municipal Health Office Pinamalayan

A post-treatment home visitation was conducted by the assigned midwife and nurses from the Municipal Health Office Pinamalayan to monitor the condition of a patient who successfully completed tuberculosis treatment. The activity aimed to ensure that the patient remains in good health, free from TB symptoms, and continues to practice proper health-seeking behaviors.

During the visit, the healthcare team carried out a brief assessment, checking for any recurrence of symptoms such as cough, fever, weight loss, or weakness. The patient was also reminded of the importance of follow-up consultations and continuous monitoring as part of post-treatment care.

Health education was reinforced, highlighting the importance of proper nutrition, adequate rest, personal hygiene, and maintaining a clean and well-ventilated home. The team also emphasized cough etiquette and infection prevention practices to protect both the patient and family members.

To further support recovery and promote overall well-being, food packs and hygiene kits were provided. These interventions aim to help improve the patient’s nutritional status and encourage consistent hygiene practices at home.

The visitation also provided psychosocial support, recognizing the patient’s commitment in completing the treatment regimen. The healthcare team commended the patient and encouraged family members to continue providing care and support.

This activity reflects the continued commitment of MHO Pinamalayan in ensuring comprehensive and patient-centered care, even beyond the completion of TB treatment, towards achieving a TB-free community.
