We were honored to speak to the youth about 𝙏𝙚𝙚𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙮 and 𝙎𝙏𝙄, 𝙃𝙄𝙑/𝘼𝙄𝘿𝙎 𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨, including the importance of HIV testing, together with our dedicated team: 𝙈𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙡 𝙀𝙥𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙪𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩 (𝙈𝙀𝙎𝙐), 𝙈𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙏𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙨, and 𝙈𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙢 of the Bagong Ppolomolok Municipal Health Office Primary Care Facility.

Once again, the Bagong Polomolok Municipal Health Office Primary Care Facility, through its Health Education and Promotion Office, successfully conducted the second batch of the Interpersonal Communication and Counseling Skills (IPCC) and Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) Training for our committed Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Rural Health Midwives (RHMs), and Human Resources for Health (HRH).

Building on the success of the first batch, this second round of training aimed to further equip more of our frontliners with the vital skills needed to effectively manage and relay health-related information, dispel misinformation, and strengthen community engagement, especially in times of public health challenges and emergencies.

Our esteemed resource speaker, 𝙈𝙨. 𝙇𝙚𝙖 𝘿. 𝙍𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙤, 𝙍𝙉, DOH-CHD SOCCSKSARGEN Region Health Education and Promotion Officer II, once again shared her expertise through insightful lectures and interactive sessions. Her deep knowledge and engaging facilitation helped enrich the participants’ understanding of communication strategies and risk management practices in health promotion.

We were also honored by the presence of 𝘿𝙧. 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝘿. 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙣, 𝙍𝙈𝙏, 𝙈𝙋𝙃, 𝙅𝘿, our Municipal Health Officer, who continues to inspire our local health workers with her leadership and support.

The training was made more meaningful through the efforts of the Health Education and Promotion Team, 𝙈𝙧. 𝙅𝙖𝙣𝙧𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙡 𝙇. 𝙎𝙖𝙧𝙖, 𝙇𝙋𝙏, 𝙈𝙨. 𝙈𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙮 𝘿. 𝙇𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙤, and 𝙈𝙧. 𝙆𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙅𝙖𝙮 𝙇. 𝘾𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙜𝙖, along with the valuable support of 𝙈𝙨. 𝘾𝙮𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙖 𝙇𝙮𝙣 𝘼. 𝙂𝙤𝙣𝙯𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙨, 𝙈𝙨. 𝙈𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙮 𝙀. 𝙇𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣, and 𝙈𝙨. 𝙅𝙚𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙛𝙚𝙧 𝘿. 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙫𝙖𝙙𝙤𝙧, who ensured that the sessions remained practical and impactful.

The program concluded on an appreciative note with closing remarks from 𝙈𝙨. 𝙇𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙨 𝙂. 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙤, 𝙍𝙉, Administrative Officer of Bagong Polomolok MHO Primary Care Facility. She expressed heartfelt thanks to the participants for their enthusiasm and commitment to health promotion.

𝙍𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙤, 𝙍𝙉, DOH-CHD SOCCSKSARGEN Region Health Education and Promotion Officer II, delivered in-depth lectures and facilitated dynamic learning activities that deepened the participants' understanding of effective communication and risk management. Her expertise in health education significantly contributed to the success of the event.

The activity was also graced by 𝘿𝙧. 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝘿. 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙣, 𝙍𝙈𝙏, 𝙈𝙋𝙃, 𝙅𝘿, Municipal Health Officer.

The seminar concluded with heartfelt closing remarks from 𝙈𝙨. 𝙇𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙨 𝙂. 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙤, 𝙍𝙉, Administrative Officer of the Bagong Polomolok MHO Primary Care Facility, who expressed her gratitude to all the BHWs for their unwavering service and dedication.

𝑬𝒏𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑸𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑨𝒍𝒍!

To ensure that the 𝘽𝙖𝙜𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙢𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙠 𝙈𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙡 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙁𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 strictly adheres to national healthcare standards and PhilHealth guidelines, representatives from PhilHealth recently conducted an unannounced inspection of our facility.

These surprise visits are part of a continuous effort to strengthen service quality, uphold compliance, and most importantly, ensure that our primary care services remain accessible, efficient, and patient-centered.

With PhilHealth’s support and guidance, we continue to enhance and prolong quality care for every Polomolok resident.

𝙅𝙐𝙇𝙔 29, 2025 | 𝘼𝙄𝘿𝙎 𝘾𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙡𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙈𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝘿𝙖𝙮 2025 | 𝘽𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙮 𝙎𝙞𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮 8 𝙂𝙮𝙢𝙣𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙪𝙢, 𝙋𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙢𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙠, 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝘾𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙩𝙤

With hearts full of remembrance and hope, we gathered as a community to commemorate AIDS Candlelight Memorial Day 2025, honoring those lost to AIDS-related illnesses and reaffirming our commitment to ending the stigma and advancing the fight against HIV/AIDS.

This year’s theme, “𝑾𝒆 𝑹𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓. 𝑾𝒆 𝑹𝒊𝒔𝒆. 𝑾𝒆 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒅.”, reminds us of our collective responsibility, not only to remember those who have passed but also to stand up for those living with HIV and to lead with compassion, awareness, and action.

The STI/HIV/AIDS Awareness and Prevention Awareness began with a warm welcome address from 𝑯𝒐𝒏. 𝑮𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒏 𝑨. 𝑳𝒊𝒎𝒐𝒔𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒐, Barangay Kagawad on Health of Barangay Silway-8, who reaffirmed the community’s unwavering commitment to promoting health and wellness. A compelling keynote address was delivered by 𝑫𝒓. 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒛 𝑴𝒂𝒚 𝑽. 𝑨𝒃𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒔, 𝑹𝑴𝑻, 𝑪𝑭𝑷, highlighting the critical role of prevention, empathy, and medical leadership in the fight against HIV and AIDS. The event was further strengthened by messages of support from 𝑫𝒓. 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝑫. 𝑺𝒂𝒍𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒏, 𝑴𝑷𝑯, 𝑱𝑫 represented by 𝑫𝒓. 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒌 𝑫𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒍 𝑻. 𝑪𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒐𝒗𝒂, along with SK Chairman 𝒁𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒆𝒍𝒛𝒍𝒚 𝒁𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒆 𝑴𝒆𝒅𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒐 of Barangay Silway-8. Their words reinforced a strong sense of unity and collaboration, underscoring the importance of compassionate, community-driven efforts in addressing the HIV/AIDS epidemic with empathy, resilience, and collective resolve.

During the symbolic Service of Light and Candlelight Ceremony, we lit candles for remembrance, hope, solidarity, and commitment, each flame representing lives, courage, and unity in the face of HIV/AIDS.

An interfaith Prayer of Solidarity was offered for all affected, for those still fighting, and for those continuing the mission of care, advocacy, and healing.

After the candle lighting ceremony, participants solemnly expressed their solidarity by signing the AIDS Commitment Wall, symbolizing their personal pledge to support awareness, compassion, and action in the fight against HIV and AIDS.

Closing Remarks were delivered by 𝑴𝒓. 𝑽𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑫𝒊𝒐𝒓 𝑮. 𝑯𝒖𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒓, 𝑹𝑵, Public Health Nurse II and STI/HIV Program Coordinator, who echoed a strong call for compassion, continued education, and sustained community action.
