The country’s employment situation remains positive with an employment rate of 96.2 percent in February 2025. While slightly lower than the 96.5 percent in February 2024, the number of employed increased to 48.951 million in February 2025. The unemployment rate rose to 3.8 percent from 3.5 percent in February 2024. Notably, the underemployment rate significantly dropped to 10.1 percent in February 2025, from 12.4 percent in the same month of the previous year—indicating improved quality of employment.
