Pototan has two old and congested cemeteries that are now full and may soon be unable to meet the needs of the ever growing town population. In March 2008, a small group of Pototanons (natives of Pototan) who were aware of the need for additional burial ground, purchased a 3.3 hectare land of rolling verdant meadows in Barangay Iwa Ilaud, Pototan and is developing it into a modern cemetery. Thank you Rev Father Tomas Delicana Jr. for leading the All Saint’s Day mass on Nov 1, 2023 and to all who attended the event.

After the mass, our visitors spent time onsite to pray for their loved ones who have gone ahead. VMMG’s gazebo and tents provided relief from the sun during the day, while our lamp posts gave light and kept our visitors safe at night.

Afterwards, attendants spent time at the memorial garden to visit and pay respect to their loved ones who have gone ahead.

Verdant Meadows Memorial Garden's current amenities and features onsite include our field office, landmark, restrooms, gazebo, and chapel. We also provide ample parking for our visitors. Fenced in by trees and a view of the mountains, it exudes serene and tranquil surroundings, making VMMG a sanctuary of love and solace.
