ANTI-DRUG CAMPAIGN
INTRODUCTION
These objectives are achieved through three primary functions: research, advice, and support to governments in the adoption and enforcement of various crime, narcotics, terrorism, and corruption-related conventions, treaties, and protocols, as well as technical and financial assistance to governments in these fields.
PURPOSE
The aim of the campaign is to rally support and encourage people to act against drug use.
DESCRIPTION
The Philippine government launched a nationwide anti-drug campaign based on enforcement-led anti-illegal drugs policies primarily implemented by the national police as soon as President Rodrigo Duterte took office in 2016. Following that, a rash of killings occurred as a result of both known police operations and unidentified assailants. This research compiles a victim-level dataset of druids.The dataset contains data on 5021 people who were killed between May 10, 2016 and September 29, 2017.
