Huwag matakot magtanong at matuto — mas ligtas, mas handa, mas responsable!

📣 Just a Friendly Reminder About Medical Certificates & Rest Days

🗓️ 1. We can’t backdate med certs.
Even if you were already feeling unwell before your visit, we’re only allowed to certify starting from the day we actually saw and assessed you. Backdating is not allowed—it’s considered falsification of a legal document.

👩‍⚕️ 2. An in-person assessment is always necessary.
Medical certificates are based on what we observe and evaluate during your consultation. We can’t issue one just based on symptoms you had days ago or because it’s urgently needed for work or school. We have to make sure the certificate is honest and accurate.

😷 3. Rest days are based on medical judgment—not requests.
Sometimes, patients ask for more (or fewer) days off than what’s medically advised. Please understand that we recommend rest days based on what your body actually needs to recover—not on patient preference. Requesting to extend or shorten rest days against medical advice undermines the integrity of our practice.

🙏 Please don’t ask us to “adjust” a med cert just to fit your school or work requirements. Our job as doctors is to help you recover—not to provide paperwork.

I totally understand that people have responsibilities, and it’s hard to balance everything when you’re sick. But I hope you can also understand where we’re coming from. We’re doing our best to look after you—ethically, responsibly, and with care.

Thank you for respecting our profession. 🙂
