IN COLON CANCER AND CERVICAL CANCER, EARLY DETECTION MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE!

As part of the Women’s Month Culmination Activity of the Puerto Princesa City Water District, Dr. Ivan Michael G. Vicente led an informative Colonoscopy Awareness Lecture, while Dr. Luan Sumera-Cruz delivered a Cervical Cancer Awareness talk.
What is a colonoscopy and why is it important? A colonoscopy is a screening procedure that allows doctors to detect early signs of colon cancer—even before symptoms appear—helping prevent serious complications and save lives.
Meanwhile, cervical cancer awareness emphasizes the importance of regular screening and vaccination to protect women from one of the most preventable types of cancer.

ACE Medical Center Palawan is bringing world-class heart care to the province. On March 21, 2026, we officially partnered with Shimadzu to build our new Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab), the first such facility in Palawan and MIMAROPA.

What is a Cath Lab?

It is a specialized hospital room where doctors use advanced X-rays to see inside your heart’s arteries. This allows them to quickly find and fix blockages, saving lives of patients having a heart attack.

By performing these procedures locally, we eliminate the need for costly, life-threatening, and time-consuming airlifts to Manila. This milestone, celebrated alongside our first 2026 Medical Staff Meeting, reaffirms our promise: quality, accessible healthcare for every Palaweño.

In preparation for our upcoming Animal Bite Treatment Center, the nursing team at ACE Medical Center Palawan successfully completed specialized training from March 16–20, 2026.

This training ensures our staff is fully equipped to provide safe, fast, and life-saving care for animal bite injuries and rabies prevention. We are committed to expanding our services and providing expert treatment for the community.
