In the early 1990’s, Premium Feeds Corporation produced feeds for their own poultry farm, making it also the start of their pursuit in improving farm performance through nutrition. It was also during these times, when they produced more products to cater for hogs and various poultry species. From its humble beginnings, the continuous growth of Premium Feeds was recognized by the animal and food industries because of their various business ventures in fish and poultry market. Premium Feeds Corporation became a consortium of the Uy Group of Companies managed by the second generation of the family. During the early 2000’s, the market became aggressively competitive. Price was not just the factor in animal feeds. Hog and poultry raisers learned the importance of farm efficiency and competitive performance as medium and large scale farms want to increase their market share. It was also at this time when more feed millers are created both local and international brands. Premium Feeds was tested when typhoon Ondoy hit Metro Manila and resulted to massive loss.
