AFPCES Welcomes Philippine Coast Guard Commander for Official Visit

Rear Admiral Oliver S Tanseco, Commander of the Philippine Coast Guard Legislative Liaison Affairs together with CAPT Marlowe O Acevedo PCG and other Coast Guard personnel, made an official visit to the AFPCES Headquarters at Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City on 13 April 2026.

COL Ben C Domingo III PA (MNSA), Commander and General Manager of AFPCES, warmly received RADM Tanseco and the delegation, taking the opportunity to introduce AFPCES and its programs and services.

The visit was further highlighted by a comprehensive briefing delivered by LTC Rogelio A Villamante Jr PA (GSC), Chief of Staff of AFPCES, who discussed the organization's mandate, operations, and the key programs and services it offers to its authorized customers.

The official visit ended on a positive note, with both parties reaffirming their commitment to advancing collaborative efforts to support the welfare of military and uniformed personnel and their dependents.

On 10 April 2026, the Commission on Audit – General Headquarters, AFP (COA-GHQ, AFP) conducted an Exit Conference at the AFPCES Headquarters, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City to present their post-audit findings. The audit team was led by Ms. Norina L. Yao, Supervising Auditor of COA-GHQ, AFP, together with Mr. Kinno Roger D. Antonio, OIC, Audit Team Leader.

COL Ben C. Domingo III PA (MNSA), Commander and General Manager of AFPCES, extended a warm welcome to all participants in his opening remarks and expressed the organization's appreciation for the COA team's diligence and professionalism throughout the audit process. He emphasized that the conference served as an opportunity to reflect on the organization's performance and reinforce its commitment to excellence, transparency, and accountability in public service.

The conference also provided a venue for the COA team to present their audit findings and observations across various operational and financial areas. Both parties engaged in an open and productive discussion, with management actively participating in addressing the matters raised. The exchange reflected a shared commitment to transparency, accountability, and the continuous pursuit of excellence in financial governance.

The COA team expects the prompt and diligent resolution of the issues raised. In response, under the guidance of COL Domingo, AFPCES management reaffirmed its full commitment to addressing and complying with all audit findings, highlighting the organization’s steadfast dedication to transparency, accountability, and excellence in service to the men and women of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

In line with the current market condition brought by the on-going conflict in the Middle East which affect the global supply of fuel, the purchase limit will b e
temporarily limited to thirty (30) liters gasoline and thirty (30) liters diesel for each customer per day.

The cut down on the temporary purchase limit is part of the control measure to ensure that more authorized customers can avail of the tax subsidized fuel while there is an on-going conflict in the middle east which may result to shortage on the supply of petroleum products.

AFPCES Celebrates National Women's Month 2026

The Armed Forces of the Philippines Commissary and Exchange Service, marked the National Women's Month on March 27, 2026, through the program organized by the AFPCES Gender and Development (GAD) Office, led by MAJ Antonette Q Sibayan (FS) PA.

The program commenced with the opening remarks of LTC Vanessa Angela S Samudio FS (GSC) PA, Deputy Commander of AFPCES, who highlighted the leadership and contributions of Filipino women, drawing inspiration from the legacy of the babaylan — the revered women leaders of pre-colonial Philippine society — and their enduring role as mediators and pillars of strength in times of conflict.

Certificates and prizes were subsequently awarded to the winners of the Essay Writing Contest: Jan Russel Juanite, Emmar Mendoza, Emily Lamayo, and Ikea Nexus Marbeda. The Poster Making Contest winners were also recognized: Princess Elizabeth S. Suarez and Jay-R Napire.

The program also honored the Outstanding Female Employees of the Month: Sally Respondo, Andre Cecil Grimaldo, and Bernadette Robina. Tokens of appreciation were likewise extended to all women of AFPCES.

The program was closed by AFPCES Commander and General Manager COL Ben C Domingo III PA (MNSA), who referenced the remarkable women including former president Corazon Aquino, who excelled in their field and gave historical significance in women’s contribution to the society.

More than a celebration, the event stood as a testament to AFPCES’ unwavering commitment to the women who serve alongside them — a reminder that their strength, resilience, and leadership are not just acknowledged once a year, but valued every single day.
