As November comes to a close, we commemorate the strength, courage, and resilience of patients, survivors, families, and healthcare workers in the fight against lung cancer.

To everyone who participated in our activities, thank you for helping amplify the message of prevention, early diagnosis, and accessible care. Your involvement brings us closer to a future where lung cancer is detected early and survivorship continues to grow.

Let us carry the advocacy beyond this month.

Every tree we plant today is a breath of hope for tomorrow.

In a time when our cities grow busier and our air grows heavier, planting trees isn’t just an environmental act — it’s an act of care for every Filipino. Each seedling becomes shade for our children, cleaner air for our communities, and protection for our future.

Let’s stand together to restore our forests, green our neighborhoods, and create a Philippines where everyone can breathe easier.

Because a cleaner environment isn’t a privilege — it’s a right. And it starts with one tree, planted by you.

In celebration of World COPD Day, we are raising awareness about Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) — a condition that affects millions worldwide and remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality. Early detection, proper management, and public education can change lives.

Our Pulmonary Medicine Fellows conducted a Lay Forum on COPD as part of our commitment to promote awareness and empower the public through education.

This initiative aimed to help our community better understand COPD and take proactive steps toward healthier lungs. Everyone is welcome — patients, caregivers, families, and anyone interested in learning more.

This month, we come together to honor the fighters, remember those we’ve lost, and support ongoing efforts toward earlier detection, better treatments, and ultimately — a cure.

Lung cancer doesn’t discriminate — it can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, or smoking history. Raising awareness helps break stigma and encourages everyone to prioritize their lung health.

In celebration of the World Lung Cancer Month, We join in participating the DENIM Fridays advocacy of the Philippine College of Chest Physicians.

The classic indigo of denim has been historically used to mark nodules for early detection.

Let’s breathe hope into the fight against lung cancer.

Every 25th day of September, We celebrate World Lung Day
to highlight lung health, raise awareness about respiratory diseases, and advocate for cleaner air and better lung health worldwide. The day emphasizes taking practical steps for lung health, including avoiding smoking, improving air quality, and receiving appropriate vaccinations, and serves as a platform for global experts to discuss advancements and challenges in lung health.

We join the global community in raising awareness about lung health and the importance of breathing clean, healthy air.
Our lungs work tirelessly every second of every day — yet millions of people suffer from lung diseases such as asthma, COPD, lung cancer, and infections like pneumonia and tuberculosis. Many of these conditions can be prevented or treated with early detection, lifestyle changes, and proper medical care.

This World Lung Day, let’s commit to:
✅ Quitting smoking and va**ng
✅ Keeping our environment smoke-free and pollution-free
✅ Seeking medical care early for persistent cough, breathlessness, or chest pain
✅ Supporting research and advocacy for better lung health worldwide

Together, let’s protect our lungs — because every breath counts.

In line with our continuous advocacy for to***co and v**e cessation, The Fellows, in collaboration with the EAMC Respiratory Therapist, launched NO SMOKING / NO VA**NG sign installations across different areas of the hospital. 🚭

Quitting smoking or va**ng is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself. Each puff avoided reduces your risk of heart disease, lung cancer, and stroke — adding more healthy years to your life.

It’s never too late for a fresh start. With the right support, small steps, and determination, you can breathe easier, live longer, and inspire others to follow your example.
