As part of our mission to provide knowledge and extend our commitment in serving the community. The Fellows and Respiratory Therapists of the East Avenue Medical Center conducted a Community Outreach program intended to serve the residents of Brgy. E. Rodriguez, Quezon City.

We provided a lay fora on Asthma and Proper Inhaler Technique along with free spirometry, while our RT's conducted a demonstration about proper handwashing gave free Hygiene kits.

It is truly our commitment to serve not only our patients in the hospital but to extend our services to the community.

We would like to thank everyone who participated in our recently concluded PULMO101 Post graduate course last August 20, 2025.

It was indeed a great day for learning and REMASTERING all the common Pulmonary diseases.

Our section is always dedicated to find avenues to promote further continuing medical education specially to our trainees and allied health care professionals.

As part of our commitment in promoting knowledge and proper management in Asthma. Our Fellows participated in the Asthma Fair last August 16, 2025 that was organized by the Philippine College of Chest Physicians.

Dr. Fernandez and Dr. Vidal facilitated the demonstration of proper inhaler techniques in using Dry Powder and Metered Dose Inhaler.

With the prompt treatment and proper inhaler technique we can control the symptoms of asthma and promote a better life to our patients.

Tuberculosis (TB) remains one of the leading infectious diseases worldwide. The good news? TB is preventable and curable—but only if detected early and treated properly.

Early diagnosis prevents complications and stops the spread to family and community.

đź’Š Why treatment is essential:
Completing the full course of TB medicines ensures recovery and prevents drug resistance.
Free and effective treatments are available in many health centers.

As part of the ongoing celebration of Lung Month, The Philippine College of Chest Physicians together with the Fellows of East Avenue Medical Center and Philippine Heart Center had a community activity today at Brgy. Pinyahan, Quezon City.

Lay fora about Pulmonary Tuberculosis and Free Chest Xray for 100 patient was provided in our active case finding of TB at the community.

With the support and cooperation of everyone, we can end the stigma of TB and prevent complications with early treatment.

Today, We celebrate National Asthma Day, As an effort to provide proper knowledge with regards to this condition that affects millions, The Pulmonary Fellows of East Avenue Medical Center conducted a Lay Fora about asthma and proper inhaler technique.

Asthma is more than just “difficulty breathing” — it’s a chronic condition that requires understanding, prevention, and proper treatment.

On this day, let’s remember to know your triggers, use your inhalers correctly, follow your treatment plan and seek medical advice when symptoms worsen

In celebration of the National Pulmonary Rehabilitation Day yesterday, June 18, 2025. The Section of Pulmonary Medicine of EAMC conducted an interactive lay forum regarding Pulmonary Rehabilitation and its benefits to our patients.

Today, we recognize its vital role in helping people with chronic lung diseases like COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, and long COVID breathe easier and live better.
