A Meaningful Step Forward for Nurses! 🩺🤝

Mayor Joy Belmonte met with PNA Zone 3 to affirm the Quezon City government's support for nurses. In a meeting held on August 4, 2025 with PNA Zone 3, she expressed the local government’s commitment for nurses—including plans to strengthen the partnership with PNA in developing a nursing program at Quezon City University. Also present in the meeting were QC Health Department OIC Dr. Ramona Abarquez and Education Affairs Unit Chief Maricris Veloso.

This courtesy visit was made possible through the efforts of PNA Zone 3 Governor Ingrid Yap joined by Directors Gemma Colcol and Kevin de Vera.

Health Beyond Walls: Compassion in Action at Marikina City Jail Female Dormitory

On July 4, 2025, compassion and service came together in a meaningful medical and dental outreach at the Marikina City Jail Female Dormitory, reaching 210 women Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) with much-needed healthcare and support.

This initiative, led by the Philippine Red Cross-Marikina City Chapter, and joined by partner organizations including PNA Zone 3, aimed to uphold not just physical wellness—but also the dignity and morale of those often unseen.

This effort is in line with PNA Zone 3’s 8Cs Program, specifically Care for Community and Care for Linkages to Attain Health Goals, demonstrating our strong commitment to inclusive, community-centered service.

PNA Zone 3, represented by President Rosa Patricia Jay C. Angeles, MAN, RN, CSSYB and Treasurer Arnie C. Armeza, PhD, RN, conducted health education lectures on Dengue Awareness and HIV Prevention and Awareness respectively. Other services provided include cervical cancer screening, dental services (extractions and consultations) and distribution of essential hygiene supplies.

This day proved once again that through compassion, unity, and strong partnerships, we can bring care where it’s needed most—even behind walls. PNA Zone 3 remains committed to building healthier communities, one outreach at a time.

🎉 PNA Zone 3 at FEU-NRMF Thanksgiving Mass and Testimonial Ceremony! 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

In line with the Membership Caravan Initiative led by our Membership and Welfare Committee under Director Joy Caroline Balmadrid, PNA Zone 3 officers President Rosa Patricia Jay Angeles, VP for Finance Shella Paragua and HOD Member Mercy Rosalina del Rosario together with Governor Ingrid Yap proudly joined the Thanksgiving Mass and Testimonial Ceremony for board passers and newly registered nurses of FEU-NRMF on June 24, 2025.

It was a great opportunity for the new nurses to get to know PNA as their professional organization and sign up for membership on the spot.

Thank you so much to the FEU-NRMF officials for welcoming us and making this event possible. Together, we continue to build a stronger, more united nursing community!

June 10, 2025 - PNA Zone 3 played a pivotal role in the success of the Brigada Eskwela 2025 Kick-Off at Malanday Elementary School in Marikina City, showcasing its leadership in community health education. President Rosa Patricia Jay C. Angeles, MAN, RN, CSSYB, personally led the health awareness lectures. Her engaging and informative discussion on Dengue and MPOX (Monkey Pox) empowered community members with vital knowledge on disease prevention and response.
This active collaboration with the Philippine Red Cross-Marikina City Chapter and WAaSH Unit reached over 800 individuals, emphasizing PNA Zone 3’s commitment to public health, disease prevention, and community empowerment. Information shared during this activity is relevant as teachers, students and families prepare for the coming school year.
