𝗛𝗬𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗛𝗜𝗗𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗜𝗦 ("Abnormal na pagpapawis") is a relatively common condition characterized by excessive sweating usually of the axillary ("kili-kili), Palmar ( "kamay") or plantar ( "Paa") region beyond normal thermoregulatory needs.

𝑬𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒃𝒆
1.) PRIMARY (idiopathic) or
2.) SECONDARY due to an underlying cause.

3.) 𝗕𝗢𝗧𝗨𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗨𝗠 𝗧𝗢𝗫𝗜𝗡 𝗜𝗡𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦, in our personal opinion, is the most ideal treatment modality, is safer, less invasive than surgery, and has longer-lasting and more tolerable effect than topical agents, with high patient satisfaction rate.

Botulinum toxin injections can also be effective in treating not only axillary but also palmar and plantar hyperhidrosis and the effect of which can last for up to six to nine months on average.
