Inauguration and Blessing of the Animal Biocontainment and Cell Culture Research Pod

October 21, 2024, Biocare, Inc., in partnership with Engr. Rane Joseph Saril, President of RJPS Industries, proudly marks a significant milestone with the inauguration of the Animal Biosafety Level 3 Research Facility at De La Salle University, Laguna Campus.
Led by Br. Bernard S. Oca FSC, the 24th President of De La Salle University, this state-of-the-art facility is the first of its kind in the Philippines. It was built in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), De La Salle Araneta University, and the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM).
The facility is dedicated to tackling the pressing national issue of the African Swine Fever (ASF) virus, focusing on developing a vaccine to address this critical threat to the livelihoods of Filipino farmers.
Additionally, we are excited about another upcoming project in New Clark City, Capas, Tarlac—a Virology Science and Technology Institute of the Philippines that will feature a BLS-4 laboratory, also the first in the country, alongside a future BLS-3 facility at RITM.
Together, these initiatives represent our commitment to advancing research and innovation in biosafety and public health.

16th PAMET Mindanao Regional Conference

Biocare Inc. took part in the 16th PAMET Mindanao Regional Conference, organized by the PAMET Surigao del Sur Chapter. The event was successfully held from August 28 to 31, 2024, at the Villa Maria Luisa Hotel in Tandag City, Surigao del Sur. The conference centered on "Digital Health Systems and the Role of Medical Technologists: Shaping the Future of Universal Health" brought together medical technologists, healthcare professionals across Mindanao to share the evolving role of medical technologists in the context of digital health systems and their impact on universal healthcare.

CELEBRATING THE 40TH PBCC

Biocare, Inc. proudly participated in the 40th Philippines Blood Coordinating Center (PBCC) last August 21-23, 2024 held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Quezon City. Our team showcased cutting-edge technology from Werfen, featuring our fully automated blood banking analyzers such as the ECHO, GALILEO, NEO IRIS, and NEO LUMENA, along with a range of blood bank reagents and consumables.
The event was a resounding success, attracting over 1,000 participants from various private and government hospitals and institutions.

We also took this opportunity to launch our new Immunology Analyzers—the AUTOBIO AUTOLUMO A1860 Chemiluminescence Fully Automated Analyzer and the POCT-CLIA STATCL60 from KGI Taiwan.

Philippine Blue Cross Biotech Corporation Technical Service & Application Specialist Training for Autobio AutoLumo A1860

We recently concluded an insightful training session on the Autobio AutoLumo A1860, which occurred from August 6-9, 2024. This training focused on the Autobio AutoLumo A1860, an advanced Automatic Chemiluminescence Immunoassay System renowned for its precision in validating tumor markers, infectious diseases, and endocrine hormones.

The event was expertly led by Ms. Jennalyn Manguiat, senior product specialist from Philippine Blue Cross Biotech Corporation, Mr. Kenneth Latiza, senior service engineer, and Mr. Renz Jordan Casupanan, service engineer.

We were honored to host this training for our Application Specialist and Technical Service Department teams, along with Ms. Laraine Asistio, one of our product managers. The training provided a valuable opportunity to delve into the latest advancements in diagnostic technology and explore the operational benefits of the Autobio AutoLumo A1860.

Thank you to all who attended and contributed to the success of this event. We look forward to applying the knowledge gained and continuing to advance the field of diagnostics.

Boule Technical Service & Application Training for Swelab Alfa Plus 3-part Hematology and Swelab Lumi 5-part Hematology Analyzers

Last June 26-28, 2024, Boule Diagnostics conducted product training for Swelab Alfa Plus 3-part Hematology and Swelab Lumi 5-part Hematology analyzers, with Mr. Mandha Reddy, Boule Customer Care Engineer. With the participation of Ms. Carla Yco, RMT (Product Manager for Hematology), Ms. Dove Dupan, RMT (Manager of Application Specialist Group), and Engr. Jey-Ar Nacinopa (Head of theTechnical Service Department), the training provided a comprehensive understanding of the Swelab Alfa Plus and Swelab Lumi analyzers, covering everything from basic blood components to advanced troubleshooting and validation processes. The sessions served as supplementary knowledge to help our team excel, with case studies and hands-on practice ensuring that participants achieved mastery and effectively applied what they learned to client services.

Last May 16-18, 2024, Biocare attended the vibrant gathering of the 28th PAMET National Midyear Convention hosted by the esteemed PAMET Quezon Province Chapter at the scenic Batis Aramin Hotel & Resort in Lucban, Quezon Province.

Attendees actively engaged in workshops and discussions throughout the convention, exchanging insights and experiences with fellow professionals. From exploring the latest technological advancements to discussing pioneering methodologies, each session offered invaluable knowledge and practical applications for their field.
