Rabies is 100% fatal. Walang gamot ang rabies ngunit maaaring maagapan sa pamamagitan ng bakuna.

1. Post-exposure prophylaxis: para sa mga nakagat o nakalmot ng a*o, pusa, paniki, unggoy, atbp.

2. Booster dose: para sa mga nakagat o nakalmot na may kumpleto nang antirabies vaccine sa nakaraang 3 taon.

3. Pre-exposure prophylaxis: para sa mga hindi pa nakakagat o nakakalmot pero nangangailangan ng proteksyon gaya ng mga breeders, rescuers, beterinaryo, pet groomers/handlers, at pet owners.
