Inauguration of the IRM Pavillion 🏥💐

Today, the Philippine Heart Center welcomed former First Lady Imelda Marcos for the formal inauguration of the newly named Imelda Romualdez Marcos Pavilion.

This pavilion honors her instrumental role in the establishment of the Heart Center during her time as the First Lady. Founded in 1975, the Philippine Heart Center remains one of the country’s premier institutions for cardiovascular care, and Mrs. Marcos’ visit today celebrates five decades of the hospital's unwavering service to the Filipino people.

The event was attended by hospital officials, government representatives, and invited guests, reflecting on the historical significance of the Heart Center and its continuing mission to provide world-class cardiac care.

Philippine Heart Center Kicks Off Nutrition Month 2025! 🥗 🎉

The Philippine Heart Center officially celebrated the 51st Nutrition Month with the theme “Food at Nutrition Security Maging Priority! Sapat na
Pagkain Karapatan Natin!” earlier this week.

The program began with a warm welcome message from PHC Executive Director Dr. Avenilo L. Aventura, Jr.

To kick things off on a lively note, employees joined a Zumba session at the MAB Lobby. Employees were then treated to free nutritious snacks generously provided by various event partners who support the cause of nutrition and wellness.

A ceremonial ribbon-cutting followed, led by PHC officials and Hon. Virgith B. Buena, Chairperson of the PRC Board of Nutrition and Dietetics. The opening program continued with an inspiring keynote address by Dir. Michael R. Sollera from the Department of Agriculture, and an engaging opening lecture by Mr. Robi Angelo B. Ebbah from the National Nutrition Council.

This year's celebration is a call to action towards a future where food security and nutrition are guaranteed for all. Together, we can help build a healthier nation; one plate, one family, and one community at a time. 🥗❤️

🎉 A Heartfelt 96th Birthday Celebration for Imelda Marcos 💐

Former First Lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos marked her 96th birthday today, July 2, with a touching celebration at the Philippine Heart Center, an institution she helped establish during her time in office.

In a warm and intimate gathering, heart warrior pediatric patients and senior citizen patients joined Mrs. Marcos and her daughter, Senator Imee Marcos, to honor her legacy and share in the joy of the occasion. Surrounded by flowers, music, and smiles, the event served as a tribute not just to her life, but to the lives touched by her vision for accessible healthcare.

Wearing her signature terno and radiant as ever, Mrs. Marcos was visibly moved by the presence of the young and elderly patients, symbols of the generations her projects have impacted.
