Announcement: No OPD Clinics on October 31

Please be informed that work in Government Offices are hereby suspended on October 31, 2025 in accordance with Proclamation No. 727 issued by the Office of the President.

Thus, the Philippine Heart Center OPD Clinics are likewise closed on October 31, 2025. For patients who already secured their schedules on the affected date, the consultation will be temporarily conducted via TeleHealth to ensure continuity of care.

❤️ PHC joins the Lab for All Medical Mission in La Paz, Tarlac! ❤️

Today, October 21, the Philippine Heart Center proudly joins First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos in La Paz, Tarlac to support the "Lab for All" program, a vital initiative that champions accessible and quality healthcare for all Filipinos.

Our team is on-site to provide free medical consultations, underscoring our commitment to saving lives and promoting cardiovascular wellness across the nation. 🩺

We are honored to be a partner of the Lab for All program and we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the local government of La Paz, Tarlac for making this event possible. Together, we continue to advance the mission of a healthier, heart-strong Philippines. ❤️

PHC and ONP Concludes First Outreach Mission

They say good things take time, and with the first-ever VSD Outreach Mission being done and dusted, the Philippine Heart Center and the Ospital ng Palawan can definitely say that the time it took to actually proceed with the mission was worth waiting for.

All seven pediatric patients are now extubated and out of the recovery rooms, and are now starting on their cardiac rehabilitation sessions. This is a testament to the success of our first-ever outreach mission, driven by the expertise, grit, and teamwork that both Hospitals have shared throughout the pre-, actual, and post-procedures.

In the Outreach Mission's closing program, Dr. Gerardo S. Manzo, PHC's TCVS Consultant and former Deputy Executive Director for Medical Services, challenged the ONP to help realize the goal of bringing cardiovascular care to all eighteen regions, with the ONP focusing on Region IV-B (MIMAROPA). This herculean project was started by the Philippine Heart Center in 2013 and was further strengthened by Senate Bill No. 1133 or the Regional Heart Center Act.

In return, Dr. Juvelito C. Ang, ONP's OIC-Chief of Medical Professional Staff, thanked the PHC for not giving up on them as the Hospital has been on the list as a potential regional heart center since 2012, and has promised to commit to being the region's cardiac specialty center.

To our friends from the Ospital ng Palawan, thank you for a job well done, and we will be seeing and working with you again in the near future!

PHC and ONP Start Their First-Ever Outreach Mission

The Philippine Heart Center surgical team is currently in Puerto Princesa, Palawan for their first VSD Outreach Program (Cardiovascular Surgical Mission) in collaboration with the Ospital Ng Palawan.

This inaugural mission will cater to seven pediatric patients from around the Palawan Province, all of them are to undergo open heart surgery to address their Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD).

The PHC team, led by Executive Director Dr. Avenilo L. Aventura, Jr. and the ONP team led by OIC - Chief of Medical Professional Staff Dr. Juvelito C. Ang, MHA attended the opening program this morning to present the mission's patients' statuses and the gameplan for the whole of this outreach mission week. Dr. Juliet J. Balderas, the Department Manager for Pediatric Cardiology of the PHC, promised the ONP team that the PHC will be guiding them until they can be independent enough to provide basic cardiovascular services to Palaweños; she also thanked the Hospital for stepping up to fulfill the Philippine Heart Center's mission in decentralizing cardiovascular care nationwide through the established (and about to be established) regional heart centers.

The Hospitals would also like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the following agencies and organizations for sponsoring and donating: Mending Kids, Philippine Airlines (for providing ten free flights for this mission), DOH - Health Facility Development Bureau, and Rotary Club Districts 3780 and 3680.
