Dr Kuhn was invited to share his experience in the recently concluded Annual Scientific Meeting of the Asia Pacific Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology in Bangkok, Thailand. The conference provided a great opportunity to connect and reconnect with new and old friends and exchange knowledge and experiences.

🩺 In today's IR procedures, let's look into Image Guided Tumour Ablation.

Tumour ablation is the process whereby a needle is placed directly into a tumour and a treatment is delivered aiming to kill the tumour in place. This can be achieved through a variety of ways but the most common is via heating or cooling the tumour. Other approaches that can also be used in difficult tumour locations include the injection of a chemical (usually alcohol or acetic acid) or the use of electricity passed through the cells.
