World Hearing Day

Theme: “From Communities to Classrooms: Hearing Care for All Children”

Hearing is essential to speech, learning, and social development. Many causes of childhood hearing loss are preventable or manageable through early screening, timely intervention, and safe listening practices. This year’s theme emphasizes shared responsibility—from families and community health workers to educators and healthcare professionals—to ensure every child has access to hearing care.

In support of this advocacy, PCOM promotes early detection, inclusive education, and equitable access to hearing services for all children.
