Ang karaniwang sintomas nito pananakit sa kanang bahagi ng tiyan.
Kapag napabayaan, maaaring magdulot ng malubhang komplikasyon.

Ang fistula-in-ano ay isang abnormal na koneksyon o butas sa pagitan ng balat malapit sa a**s at sa loob ng re**um. Karaniwang sanhi ito ng impeksyon sa a**l glands na hindi ganap na gumaling, kaya't nagkakaroon ng lagusan para sa nana. Maaaring magdulot ito ng pananakit, pamamaga, at paminsan-minsang pagtagas ng nana o dugo mula sa bukas na butas sa balat.
