Philippine Breast Cancer Network

Philippine Breast Cancer Network Founded in 1997, the PBCN is the country's only not-for-profit volunteer service network which uphol

The PBCN supports a preventive approach to eradicating breast cancer. We believe that enough evidence exists to raise serious concern on the environmental link to breast cancer to make this a priority for investigation and evidence-based regulatory action. Corollary to this, government and industry must adhere to the Precautionary Principle - that of acting upon evidence rather than waiting for absolute scientific proof. The medical profession must respect the patient's right to Informed Choice - that of full disclosure of all information, options and personal decision.

Maria Cristina C. Sibonga
01 November 1974 – 21 July 2025

Cristy was the nurse-in-charge of the PBCN’s breast cancer patients for 23 years.

She was a volunteer of the organizing committee of three
Philippine Conferences on Breast Cancer in 1998, 1999 and 2000.
She was invited to be a presenter in the 4th World Conference on Breast Cancer held in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2005 and was a main facilitator of eleven Project BRCA 4-day Trainings held in Tiaong Breast Haven from 2002-2006. She single-handedly empowered countless patients who underwent the PBCN’s 4days and 3nites non-invasive and non-toxic protocol to address breast cancer.

Cristy’s unexpected demise is a great loss to the Philippine Breast Cancer Network and to the global movement for the eradication of breast cancer.

Cristy was interred at South Cemetery in Makati on the 25th of July 2025.

Disconnect: A scientist's solutions for safer technology Paperback – January 17, 2024
by Devra Davis PHD (Author)

In this NEW, EXPANDED, and UPDATED edition of Disconnect, acclaimed and award-winning scientist Dr. Devra Davis shares a compelling cautionary tale, supported by a growing body of evidence, surrounding alarming new scientific understandings of cell phones, other commonly used microwave radiating devices, and the new 5G network currently being built-out nationwide – all with limited safety testing!

Building upon the shocking revelations that Dr. Davis uncovered through research and interviews shared in the 2010 first edition, this new, expanded edition of Disconnect adds recent studies that substantiate and confirm the radiation risks of the “connected world” that endanger our health and the world around us. Understanding that personal electronic devices are here to stay, Dr. Davis shows us the simple safety measures we must take. Sharing these researched solutions, she reminds us that now is the time to implement them — before it’s too late.
