The Ateneo Project for Asian and International Relations (APAIR) is an official international student organization dedicated to the principles of discourse, dialogue, and advocacy as established by the Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR). In accordance to the organization’s mission and vision, we will be launching our annual flagship event, the National Conference 2017 “Shifting Tides: The Development of the Philippines in the Global Arena at the Ateneo De Manila University. It will be a 2-day conference to be held on Mar 17-18, 2017 - wherein students from all over the Philippines are invited to listen and engage in discussions of local and global issues with distinguished speakers from diverse backgrounds. The conference aims to develop globally-knowledgeable youth leaders through sharing their ideas, knowledge, experiences, and insights in the hopes of educating and inspiring the Filipino youth to become innovative leaders for our country. In particular, the National Conference will particularly augment the youth’s current awareness in diverse topics such as international relations and security, business and entrepreneurship, mental health awareness, and social media. We are expecting a range of 250-300 delegates from all high schools and colleges in the Philippines who will engage in the discourse of the most pressing issues present in the Philippines and the rest of the world.
