Republic Act No. 7277, also known as the Magna Carta for Disabled Persons, is a 1992 law that aims to improve the lives of disabled people in the Philippines:
Rehabilitation: The government is responsible for the rehabilitation of disabled people to help them live more productive and satisfying lives.
Self-development: The law promotes self-development and self-reliance for disabled people.
Integration: The law aims to integrate disabled people into society and give them the same rights as other people.
Protection from discrimination: The law prohibits discrimination against disabled people in employment, transportation, and public accommodations and services.
Rights and privileges: The law grants disabled people rights and privileges, including access to public transport, voting, and the right to assemble.
Barrier-free environment: The law promotes a barrier-free environment for disabled people.
Private sector involvement: The law encourages the private sector to partner with the government to promote the welfare of disabled people.
(Ang Republic Act No. 7277, na kilala rin bilang Magna Carta for Disabled Persons, ay isang batas noong 1992 na naglalayong mapabuti ang buhay ng mga taong may kapansanan sa Pilipinas:
Rehabilitasyon: Ang pamahalaan ay responsable para sa rehabilitasyon ng mga taong may kapansanan upang matulungan silang mamuhay nang mas produktibo at kasiya-siyang buhay.
Pagpapaunlad ng sarili: Ang batas ay nagtataguyod ng pagpapaunlad sa sarili at pagtitiwala sa sarili para sa mga taong may kapansanan.
Integrasyon: Ang batas ay naglalayong isama ang mga taong may kapansanan sa lipunan at bigyan sila ng parehong mga karapatan tulad ng ibang mga tao.
Proteksyon mula sa diskriminasyon: Ipinagbabawal ng batas ang diskriminasyon laban sa mga taong may kapansanan sa trabaho, transportasyon, at pampublikong akomodasyon at serbisyo.
Mga Karapatan at Pribilehiyo: Ang batas ay nagbibigay sa mga taong may kapansanan ng mga karapatan at pribilehiyo, kabilang ang access sa pampublikong sasakyan, pagboto, at karapatang magtipon.
Kapaligiran na walang hadlang: Ang batas ay nagtataguyod ng kapaligirang walang hadlang para sa mga taong may kapansanan.
Paglahok sa pribadong sektor: Hinihikayat ng batas ang pribadong sektor na makipagsosyo sa pamahalaan upang itaguyod ang kapakanan ng mga taong may kapansanan.)

Pambansang Koalisyon ng may Kapansanan para sa Pagbabago (PKKP) is non-government organization with SEC Company Registration CN201824447 composed of Persons With Disability: 1-orthopedic or physical disability 2-learning disability 3-intellectual disability 4-visual disability 5-hearing disability/ speech impaired or communication disability 6-psychosocial or behavioral, who harnessed themselves to assert their rights as provided by laws enacted by the Congress but remained unimplemented and inexecuted. PKKP leaders advocate the creation by the Office of the President a National Commission on PWD Affairs, or some other name
Membership:
PKKP is now Open for Membership nationwide. Membership categories are:
1. Regular Member - for PWDs only;
2. Auxillary member - for immediate family or primary (Spouse, Children, grandchildren, great grandchildren) and secondary (parents, brothers, sisters,) of PWDs;
3. Honorary member - for PWD advocates and supporters with significant contribution to PWD concerns;
4. Support group - existing organizations (SEC-registered or non-SEC registered) & advocates represented by the group President.
