The spirit of Christmas came alive at the National Childrenโ€™s Hospital as smiles, laughter, and hope filled the room during our Merry Lukan Christmas outreach for pediatric thalassemia patients last December 21. From interactive games and creative art activities to shared meals and wish-list gifts, every moment was a celebration of courage, kindness, and community. This outreach reaffirmed our commitment to holistic careโ€”where healing goes beyond medicine and is nurtured with love, joy, and togetherness.

Special thanks to our project head, Gio Profeta, Director for Outreach, and the Student Council team and volunteers for making this celebration possible.

Our sincerest appreciation goes to our generous sponsors and partners for helping us bring joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories to the children this Christmas. ๐Ÿ’™

Last October 15, we came together in true Hawaiian spirit for Gabi ng Pasasalamat 2025 โ€” a night of gratitude, laughter, and celebration that reminded us what it truly means to be one SLMCCM-WHQM family.

Held at the Quezon City Sports Club, the evening was filled with vibrant performances, games, and heartfelt moments that captured the warmth and unity of our community. Beyond the walls of medicine, itโ€™s the spirit of ohana that keeps us connected. ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ’ซ

The Mx Lukan competition took place during the Opening Ceremonies on October 13, where our candidates strutted their style, rocked their sports attire, and took on a fun, unconventional Q&A that had everyone laughing and cheering. The winners were celebrated and awarded during the Gabi ng Pasasalamat 2025 on October 15. โœจ

The Office of the College Secretary issues the following updated directives in response to Typhoon Uwan.

The suspension of face-to-face classes is now extended through ๐—ง๐˜‚๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ฑ๐—ฎ๐˜†, ๐—ก๐—ผ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿญ, ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฑ. In accordance with the Quezon City Government's advisory on Typhoon Uwan, the SLMCCM Office of the College Secretary announces the suspension of all face-to-face classes on November 10, 2025.

Learning will continue through online modalities; students are instructed to await further instructions from their respective departments. The special Comprehensive Exam is also postponed until further notice.

For clerks and interns, please see the specific instructions for your duties and contingency plans in the attached memo.

Let's all prioritize our safety during this time. Please stay indoors, keep informed, and look out for one another. Keep safe and dry.
