Welcome to October, Lukans! Here’s a look at the exciting month ahead 🎃☀️

Prepare for a celebration of spirit and camaraderie during our much-awaited 𝗦𝘁. 𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲’𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 (𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁)! We also look forward to sharing moments of gratitude at 𝗚𝗮𝗯𝗶 𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘁 and strengthening our bonds through our 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 🏅🤝

This month, we also stand in solidarity with our ates and kuyas taking the 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺. Let's send them our collective prayers for fortitude and peace, trusting that their Lukan spirit and knowledge will see them through. 🩺

𝒲𝒽ℯ𝓃 𝒶𝓁𝓁 𝒾𝓈 𝓁ℴ𝓈𝓉, 𝓉𝒽ℯ𝓃 𝒶𝓁𝓁 𝒾𝓈 𝒻ℴ𝓊𝓃𝒹 ☁️

This theme resonated deeply during '𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝: 𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐝-𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓,’ a Kalingang Lukan project organized by the St. Luke's Medicine Student Council in partnership with Agape, held on September 29, 2025.

The Lukan community showed up to support Batch 2025. The event was filled with encouragement, from a mass by the chaplain, to PLE tips and encouragement from Dean Marcie Atienza. Our very own alumnus, Dr. Jon Stewart Dy, likewise shared practical and faith-based advice, and led a heartfelt pray-over and the traditional pencil sharpening. A huge shoutout to all the volunteers, students, faculty, and staff who sent their love in the good luck video! 🩵🧠⚡

The journey ahead may be challenging, but with faith and perseverance, all will be found. We’re with you every step of the way, Batch 2025! 🌟 Success is within reach 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️🩺

📣 Class Suspension Advisory: Friday, September 26, 2025

In line with the directive from the QC Government and in anticipation of inclement weather brought by Tropical Storm "Opong" and intensified by Habagat, all face-to-face classes across levels are SUSPENDED on Friday, September 26, 2025.

Liaison officers will coordinate with their respective departments to relay details regarding alternative learning activities.

Clerks and interns are advised to follow the specific instructions from the departments where they are currently rotating.

Please stay safe and take necessary precautions. God bless you and your loved ones!

Week 1 of Prayers: Wisdom and Knowledge 📖

As our dear Lukan Batch 2025 enters this season of preparation for the Physician Licensure Examination, we offer them our heartfelt support, rooted in a deep and abiding faith.

Our collective prayer is that they be filled with a wisdom that transcends textbooks, a true and lasting wisdom that comes from God, the ultimate Source of all knowledge and understanding. Our confidence for them is not in human effort alone, but in the divine grace that equips and sustains.

We lift them up, trusting that they will be granted clarity of mind for their studies, peace of heart to quiet any anxiety, and a steady spirit to persevere through every challenge. In moments of doubt, our hope is that they feel the profound assurance that their competence comes from God, and in times of uncertainty, that they lean fully on His unfailing guidance.

This journey is more than an exam; it is a profound step toward their God-given purpose. We stand with them in prayer, believing that they will not only succeed but emerge as compassionate, faith-driven healers, ready to serve and bring glory to God in all they do.

In accordance with Memorandum Circular No. 97, the directive of the Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (QCDRRMO), and the Office of the College Secretary (OCS), 𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 for MD YL 1–3 and MS Molecular Medicine are 𝐒𝐔𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐃 due to the Southwest Monsoon and Super Typhoon "Nando."

𝐋𝐢𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬 will coordinate with respective departments regarding alternative learning activities.

Kasama ng mga institusyong medikal at akademiko, kami ay nakikiisa sa sambayanang Pilipino sa panawagan para sa tapat na pamumuno at wastong paggamit ng pondo para sa bayan. Ang aming hangarin ay isang bansang tunay na pinapahalagahan ang kalusugan at dignidad ng mga tao. Ang buhay, kaligtasan, at kinabukasan ng bawat Pilipino ay hindi kailanman dapat maisasantabi dahil sa korapsyon at katiwalian. Bilang mga mag-aaral at susunod na henerasyon ng manggagamot ng bansa, nananatili kaming mapagmatyag, matatag, at naninindigan laban sa katiwalian.

Ang ating tungkulin ay lumalampas sa mga pader ng ating paaralan at ospital. Lukans, makialam at tumindig para sa tama!
